Is it just me or does the search function on the page just suck???

I know someone posted best buy ad scans for 3/1 but they are nowhere to be found, what is the deal?

I just searched for "best buy ad scan"

and here are my results (http://forums.slickdeals.net/sdsearch.php?mode=forum&showposts=0&sdsearch_archive=0&search=best+buy+ad+scan).

what were your search terms?

If I search the hot deals forum for "best" in thread title only, the thread you're looking for is the first hit.

If I search with it not in thread title only, it shows up on the middle of page 2.

Brisar - I don't think you can share search results. When I clicked on your link, it says "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.".

Ooops. I searched via VB search and tried to link it.
You can't link VB search results, but you can link global search results (http://forums.slickdeals.net/sdsearch.php?mode=forum&showposts=0&sdsearch_archive=0&search=best+buy+ad+scan)

fixed the link.
Thanks BackAgain :)

I wonder if it would help people investigate if we posted the VB link results when a search doesn't show the thread we're looking for? That would have the result ID, which I assume some admin could then look at to see what the results were at that time. Then compare that to the global (beta) search results and see who is better.

Sucks that we need to have so many different search options here, and that they provide different results. :harhar:
