Yeah! I qualified for the first one...it makes me wonder what the second product study survey was for. Not complaining though...just curious! I have to admit, it was definitely the easiest PT from them to qualify for though!

I hate to play the race card but I'm starting to think that I don't qualify for that very reason because I use their products on a regular basis...gave them a few months and now I'm about to drop them like I did Pinecone...I even qualified a few months back and then got a "thank you but we don't want you" gift shortly before the study started. I'll just continue to buy the stuff that I need and move on to the next company. Good luck to those who continue to apply for a chance to test their products.

I guess I am not on the right one. The one I sign into, they are require visits to their facility. It's only about half an hour from me but I am never able to make it there.

i dont get why people are quitting? whats the harm in continuing to sign up for free thank you gifts and to attempt to qualify. Yup it sucks when you dont get picked but at least they send you thank you gifts.. people are just so greedy and instant gratification

I don't think it is necessarily race they disqualify you on because I'm white and use L'Oreal products and get DQed often.

I may be wrong, but I get the sense a lot of times they DQ us based on the brands we use. At least it seems to me I get DQed right after I tell them what brands I use. One thing to keep in mind is that L'Oreal owns many brands including higher end brands so all of their surveys may not be for the L'Oreal brand specifically and they may not be looking for a L'Oreal user for all of their studies. Like today I had a pre-qualifying survey and they asked me what products I use and all of the brands they listed were higher end brands. So I doubt they wanted a L'Oreal for that study. Of course I was DQed. :lol:

I also got a "thank you but we don't want you" gift prior to a study started. It was disappointing at first, but the gift I received was very generous for doing nothing at all. It left me with a positive impression with L'Oreal that they would still compensate me with something nice.

It can be frustrating because with L'Oreal everyone gets rejected more often than they get accepted, but testing products to me is fun and they can be very generous with the rewards so for me it is worth it to hang in there even if I may only get in once or twice a year.

I used to qualify a lot, but I haven't qualified in a long time, I don't even want to consider that it might be pushing 5 months since my last PT. Today I think I would've had a pretty good shot of at least prequalifying, but I carelessly misread a question (answered no when it should've been yes) and got knocked out even before the branding question. Ah well. I'll probably continue to try when I get emails, but I'm no longer optimistic.

i have to say i only qualified for one PT up until i just got in on my second PT. it had been MONTHS since i did that.

i always DQ and i think its mostly based on the people who filled and qualified already. say they are looking for only 10 people ages 25-35 and they got their 10 already, so i'd DQ. its not race. it may be based on the brands you use, and of course, the types of products you use too.


right now i DQ for the lastest after asking me if i see a dermatologist (i dont). you'd think they'd want people who arent under the care of a doctor :dontknow:

I agree I find that many of times some of the studies are very specific. I wouldn't give up because there are times that the surveys are easy to qualify and some I think that they need brand specific users. I don't think it has anything to do with race.....When I receive the e-mails, they say that the update on a regular basis so I keep looking and trying.

I have to say, I'm kinda in the wanting to leave group too. It's just been way tooooo many dq's. A year ago, I qualified for things, got informational surveys and now, I dq on everything and get NO informational surveys. I'm kinda tired of checking the site every day, only to dq every single time there actually is something there, which isn't often either...

:ermm: loreal has given me $100's in products and i've only done one PT. i've surely been paid good IMO!

I DQ'd on M11-337. Definetly the brands I chose.

Loreal has been very generous as far as I'm concerned. Did one PT and got over $300. in products.

I sent an email to L'Oreal and they replied saying that there's only limited quota baah baah...I know it already...even though I can take the survey, most of the time I DQ'd. I don't know how much I can take in a day, not mentioning the stress at work, LOL.:lmao:

I also agree, well said. I haven't been accepted to many of these, but it is always worth a try. Just answer honestly and someday you'll get one.

kimber, i have done all of my studies with them through the mail. i have done product tests and surveys and have received nice gifts for compensation; loreal, garnier, lancome, and kiehls brand products.

I DQ all the time also, BUT at least I DQ quickly, so I am not wasting my time. And when I do Qualify ( which has been forever) it is well worth it. (for the gift/compensation).

How are you able to test these products in the amount of time they need you to since you live outside the country (USA)? Do they actually mail the PT to where you live ( Australia )? That would be very costly for them to do :confused:

I logged in last week and qualified for a study for the last week of June for a face moisturizer (I think). The next day I got cancelled from the study but they are sending me a gift for being cancelled.

As many of you were aware my email account had been compromised at the beginning of May. Well, due to having to set up a new email account, I had to of course notify all the survey panels including Loreal. Since it took a couple of weeks for the change to take effect in their system, I never received the online questionnaires to fill out for the PT I was participating in. I phoned this morning and spoke to a really nice lady and she said she will be sending me out a gift for participation since I did test the two products and asked me to mail them both back this morning which I did. They are truly a great panel to belong to!

I did earlier. I'm not sure what browser you use, but in Firefox it said something about their certificate being expired. I added an exception for the site and it loaded fine after that. I have the login problem stating that it is not a valid certificate bah bah bah yesterday. But once I click access no matter what, it went through. Today, I can log in with no problem. The only problem I have today is that there is no survey available there, NOTHING. :lmao:

BTW, I use IE7.

I got an email from them earlier today asking those who hadn't received the product to respond (seemed like a generic email, not a reply to my email I had sent earlier). Checked the mail and nothing today. Sounds like they know about it at least so they can adjust accordingly. Just finished another moisturizer trial yesterday, so glad they didn't run together!

I got it today but I sent an e-mail earlier this morning. I hope they can adjust the date to those of us who did not get it on time.

they told me that i could participate if i get it by today or tomorrow. But if i don't I should let them know. I guess they'll just remove my name from the study:(

I just got mine in the mail today (for the 20-27th trial) and it says there will be a survey up after the trial is completed

received mine yesterday, wrong zip on it like others. I actually have this product (can't remember where I got it from) and have been using it off and on. They never did respond to my email on Monday but I think I will email them again to make sure they don't remove me from the group. Hopefully they don't do that for others :(

I'm right there with you. I have only done one product test and qualified for 2 others that they canceled, but I never received a "we're sorry we canceled" gift as others have stated they received. I also have not received an informational survey in about 6 months. I guess L'Oreal doesn't want someone in their early 40's doing tests for them. :(

Both of the 2 pt's I received recently were not L'oreal products. Using L'oreal stuff doesn't mean you are more likely to qualify for a study based on my experience.

Just continue to do the surveys and be honest with your answers and you will eventually qualify.

Skinceuticals face cream arrived today as a thank you gift. Says it's to "correct" :bonk: "mature" skin :covereye: but on the other hand, it gets good reviews and seems to go for 100+ clams. I think I might just mix it with something else like argan oil or add some Lush colour supplement. :artist:

I just received the same product, after completing a moisturizer PT for combination skin. LOL I have oily/dry skin and i'm 28. This product has four oils as it's main ingredients and it's for "mature skin". I'm just worried it will make me break out, because I really don't need more oil.

I received the SkinCeuticals Skin Firming Cream for the 7 day trial, that was quick! This is $110 according to their site.

It could be a week or months just keep logging into your account to check for surveys.

It takes a little over a week after you submit the last survey to get your product. Usually sometimes it might take longer. L'oreal is awesome!:bounce:

I had the same problem and wrote them back, telling them about it. I got an answer within the hour, saying that they will send me a gift for my efforts. Don't know if it will be the same gift people get that manage to complete it, but better than nothing. Good luck :)
