Open source nOOb. Would this apply to Ubuntu? I have the Desktop Edition CD, but haven't played with it yet.

Absolutely. The guide is geared toward Linux in general, but specifically Ubuntu, so you're in luck!
They used to charge for this guide, and it's only now that they've made it available for no charge.

Wow, this is awesome! I JUST decided to install Ubuntu on my old 'puter just a few days ago, and definitely could use something like this! Thanks!! And like someone else said, I'd rep you if I could...
