I honestly do not want to seem pushy with this, but where do we stand in regards to the new logo (http://forums.slickdeals.net/t111467.html) folks? Some of the ones that were created were awesome, and I think the site would look a lot better and would be a welcomed fresh addition. :nod:

Well, let's be realistic here. There is no logo that Mr. SD can choose that will satisfy everybody here. Since he runs the website, as long as the logo that he chooses satisfies himself, everything is fine.

Rightnow the logo is in circulation with the old one just to see how it would look I guess. After some time it may replace the old logo permanently.

The new logo is miles ahead better than the old one. However, it would look a lot better without the drop shadow on the letters. It doesn't fit because theres no drop shadow on the left logo.

How much money do you think SLICKDEALS makes off our clicking?

Cept the old one is still there. I like it! When slickdeals goes multinational it will look great on top of a skyscraper.

I don't care for the new one, tough on the eyes- too monotone. And the "S" is kinda hidden. Great try, but needs some definition- maybe outlining the letters in the block in a thin black line would do it.

Anyway, I like the old logo the best, and the one Everson has linked in the above post is pretty good. If it had to be changed I think Everson's link is the better one.
Remember format is a big part of traffic- too difficult a page to look at drives away viewers- that's why only newbs at HTML use yellow text on white backgrounds.....

It's Mr. SD's opinion that really counts anyway.

yea the old classic logo is better. The new one looks too much like t3chbargains logo.

IMHO a site like this warrants a subtle logo (like the new one) which does not compete with ads which are a source of revenue. People who buy ads want them to stand out and not be drowned out by a fancy site logo.

I really like the new logo. It looks way more professional compared to the old.

I agree the "S" or "$" should be adjusted a bit, but other than that I say keep it. I even like the coloring, while not exactly matching the forums, its a bit more subtle and definately easy on the eyes. The old logo was pretty plain and something even I could throw together in Paint.

Anyway good job to whoever designed it!

I prefer the red and blue one more so than the all blue one.

Could you make the light blue / blue logo for the front page only. And the red / blue / black one for the forearms? I think it matches best that way.

we will all adjust to it if that's what Mr Sd wants. Not everyone resists change, and I doubt the majority of those stating the old logo looks better to them have any argument to change for the better. The issue for them (Myself being one of them) is weither the new logo is better.

I have just seen the red slick- blue deals- black net version--- 1000% better! Much more balanced, and the s/$ sized up balances the left image.
the black net balances the scissors, the deals balances the image, and the red is a perfect focal point. Well done. :thumbup:
