What is BzzAgent? BzzAgent is a Word-of-Mouth marketing company based in Boston. Their home office is referred to as the Central Hive.
How does it work? (In a nutshell) Based on demographics, people are selected to participate in various campaigns. If you agree to join the campaign, you'll receive a package of product or coupons. You only responsibility is to talk openly about the products (either positive or negatively) and report back to BzzAgent via their online form or online video submission.

Do NOT WAIT FOR EMAIL INVITES FROM BZZ AGENT!! Check your Bzz home page daily on a regular basis especially when you know campaigns are popping up. Email invites are often late and you will risk finding the campaign full if you wait. Also when you do, LOG OUT of your Bzz account after you've checked, and clear your cache on occasion. Don't ask why it works... it just does sometimes.

To answer all questions on a spouse/someone in the same household also being an agent:

"Hi BzzAgent,
Thanks for your email. It is important that you make sure that both of your accounts are maintained entirely by the person whose account it is... It is very important that each account is maintained only by the person whose account it is.

Thanks,

Jake
BzzAgent"

and

"Hi Kris, Your account is in fine standing with us at this point in time. And if your husband is logging into his own account, regardless of what computer he is using, both of your accounts should be fine! Thanks, JakeBzzAgent"

I removed tier info and we can add MP and other info here. A few questions I keep seeing show up:

Do we only get points for the 2 reports per campaign:

You only need two reports to MOVE UP a "comb". Any further reports WILL get you MyPoints but will NOT move you up any further. Also, the post campaign poll will give you one more comb, so you move a maximum of two combs per campaign. Remember this is PER CAMPAIGN though! So if you have say, 3 campaigns, you could move up 6 combs if you do the two reports plus the post poll for each.

tls

I have a Golden Key. Now what?
A Golden Key is only available to be used when the opportunity is offered to you. Typically it's when they have extra spots in a campaign that you otherwise wouldn't have qualified for. You can't pick and choose which campaign you want to use it on, you have to wait for them to ask you if you'd like to use it.

MyPoints Questions?

PLEDGE SWEEPER CAMPAIGN INFO:
Wow... I tested that thing before it was on the market... and hated the fact that it's just one more disposable thing to jam up the landfills. Told them I would probably never buy a product like that unless the parts were biodegradeable or at least less of it was tossed out. Guess they didn't care to listen. When I had it, I took it apart and emptied out the dog hair and re-used it. They even asked if we did that and I told them *yes* and why I did it. It worked just fine with me doing that to it. They sent two... I never even opened the 2nd because I felt the first one was working just fine after the 6 weeks. It worked ok over all but seemed to work best on fabric that wasn't very roughly textured.
It does not hold very much hair and other stuff it picks up. That is one reason I do not like it also. The fact that I was able to take it apart and put it back together was the only thing that made me use it more than once. If you have a huge problem with pet hair, this thing will be more a pain in the patookie than a help unless you want to take it apart to empty.

Hope this helps some of you decide if you want to use a key or not. If you have one ready to expire, you have nothing to lose. It's definitely not something I personally would use my ONLY key on unless I was within a comb or two of another.

12/12 - Milk survey

12/31 - Entertainment/Media Devices survey
4/23 - Harmony campaign starts

1/8 - Air Care Products survey
3/18 - Glade Wisp campaign starts

1/8 - Germs survey
2/15 - Oust campaign starts

2/20 - Soft Drinks survey
3/? - Tropicana campaign begins (I didn't get this one, but I recall it being in early March)

I have two campaigns and they are both invites where you must pay.

I got invited to the ZAPIT Games today. This was another one that you have to pay for. The thing that really gets my goat is that they say it is 78% off the regular price. Just being the curious gal I am I searched for ZAPIT Games and lo and behold they offer the same game system and things that were advertised (exactly what BzzAgent is having a campaign for) for the same price. I had no idea that they would keep having campaigns that you have to pay to do the campaign. My reply to their offer was a no and then I passed on what I am telling you all now. BZZ that!
I didn't do the game wave campaign because when you go to the manufacture website, you can get that same offer from there.

what website are you going to? When i go to their website is shows it at $99.99 not $49.95

Not to mention that bzzagents offer also comes with 4 extra games and 2 extra remotes.

I got the invite for Game Wave and I'm thinking of taking it - it actually looks like it might be a good deal, considering it can be used as an extra dvd player also. I'm assuming the 49.95 includes shipping/handling too.... decisions, decisions... What do the people who got this game already think? Is it worth it??

Someone mentioned that agents who have taken it and gotten it (last tie it was offered) had complaints about technical issues. I haven't looked them up but it's on the BzzAgent site somewhere. You might want to check that out before you dive in! DVD players can be found for $30 or less these days, so I wouldn't get it *just* for that reason. For me it would depend on what the extra games are and if it's something my family would actually use enough to justify the cost of yet another video game console.

Thanks - you brought me down to reality :) Everytime I get a campaign, one where I have to pay or otherwise, I go directly into shop mode and want to rip out my credit card, but I think I might regret this purchase - esp. right before the holiday as I think all the kids in my family would think this was pretty lame. Where are the GOOD campaigns????

I got the GameWave offer last night and I took it. We love family game night around here, but setting up board games is a disaster with a 2yr old. With this we can give him a remote and let him feel like he's a part of the action. :lmao: Plus The Beast loves to play the trivia game at bars, and this looks really similar. So getting status and MyPoints is a bonus for me on this one.

LOL... well this one just looks like something more for the slightly younger set with families that enjoy playing games together. I seriously don't think it would intrigue kids over the age of 12 or so. My kids still home are 15 and 17 and they would laugh me out of the house if I got this for them. I think they try to push the *family friendly* side of it, non-violent games, family togetherness, educational etc etc... but the fact is still *video game* and you're still gonna be sitting on your butt in front of the television!

As far as everyone being disappointed in paying campaigns, I am sure there are lots of reasons those seem to be showing up more lately. I think in the past, the few campaigns we were offered that we had to pay for, were still really GOOD campaigns and we were offered the product with MUCH more significant discounts, and they were products we were really interested in. (Flypen is still my favorite!) So in light of that, I am sure Bzz has plenty of good feedback regarding paid campaigns, so it's easier for companies to decide to go that route and save some money. However, that only works with GOOD PRODUCT at a DECENT discount. I think more would be willing to try the GameWave were it a more reasonable $20 or so. And they also need to consider what kind of talk is already going around about the product... for example the Whirpool clothes steamer thingy... gets fairly nasty reviews. Not for whether it works or not, because lots of people DO like it.... at first. But it doesn't seem to be a very well made product far too soon into the purchase, and things go wrong and people talk about having difficulty getting parts that are overpriced. That right there kept me from even considering taking that campaign.

I am guessing many of the people who jump on these campaigns do so without benefit of any kind of support such as we have here. Rarely have I seen anyone here grab up a paid campaign without checking with us on this forum as to opinions about it and such, when it's for products we know little about. Someone has always checked it out already and has plenty of info to pass on.

As always, of course, if it's something you will really USE and WANT, then it's probably a good deal for *you* anyway, no matter what someone else thinks about it. And if you get it via BzzAgent, there is always the added bonus of MyPoints. And those useless honeycombs.

Wii is so much fun! DD got one last year and it's the best gift ever. We play a couple of times a week. The Beast usually won't play with us though. I received my bzz kit yesterday. It came with a lot of good coupons...$3 off $6 or more purchase. Which it's really easy to spend $6 there since it's pretty expensive. So overall not the greatest bzz kit ever, but can't complain. And it did come with a coupon for a free meal.

I don't remember if there were points for that or not on the vitamin one. I TOTALLY ticks me off that I tell them *NO* and then when the survey would normally come up, it tells me I have already taken it. Ok... So they KNOW I took it, they KNOW I don't want it and they know WHY I don't want it. And it wasn't a reason that would change. They need to add an option for us to choose that says "I said NO and I mean NO so do NOT invite me to this campaign again and REMOVE IT from my homepage."

Or something to that effect.

I got in the PORK campaign which I've not heard a lot of people talk about.

It came with some little recipe cards and info book shaped like a pig, lol, a nice meat thermometer, and some great pork coupons. (Like 5.00 off any pork, and 3.00 off)
The problem is the coupons are for publix only and there is not one here.

I figure I will use them the next time we travel a city over. I dunno. That was a bit frustrating.

Ok there's what has GOT TO BE the most STUPID FRUSTRATING survey EVER in the history of BzzAgent on the homepage for me... asking about *doing business*. First question is multiple choices, one of which is *I do not currently work*. And I don't, so of course I pick that one. Next question asks about your company. And get this... there are 3 answers to pick from, and they ALL assume you are WORKING for a COMPANY of some kind and there is NO way to NOT answer it and send the survey. How the FREAKINGHELLLLLLLL can I ANSWER that honestly since there IS NO FREAKING answer for to go with I DO NOT WORK???!!!!!!

I spent the afternoon in a friggin movie theater with 50 or so freaking squealyass teen TWITS, my own daughter included, to watch Twilight. I *think* it was actually fairly good. But I am going to have to go see it during the week when school is back in session next week so there won't be so many thhings keeping me from actually concentrating on it.

It's 5:45. It's freakin' time to head to Margaritaville.

*schnicker* Would that go well with fried turkey? I am directing the cooking of our meal. I hurt my back moving a TV yesterday. I am also eyeballing the Margarita machine on the bar behind me. (Yes I do have eyes in the back of my head THANKyouverymuch) I am thinking since the weenie Tylenol and such that I have been taking hasn't worked very well, and the only other thing I have is some vicodan, which I cannot take at ALL, I am thinking tequila would work nicely.

Got it... ranted about that stupid survey already. It is STUPID because you can tell them you do NOT WORK in the first question, yet the second one also requires an answer and there is NO WHERE to say again you do NOT have or work for any kind of business... so I emailed them and told them how stupid that survey is.

grrr.. 2nd time today I've had to re-do a reply.

So.. NO... you cannot possibly know ANYONE who has *reached the end of the honeycomb scale* because there IS no *end*. And there might be only two keys showing up as you scroll ahead through your combs but as you earn those, more show up way ahead... there is no *actual* limit to keys, but they are sort of limited anyway by how many combs it will take to your next one, and your combs are limited to: You earn a comb for doing 3 FrogPonds a month. You earn a comb for the first TWO reports from each campaign you are in. And post campaign polls will earn you one comb as well.

I tend to throw away a comb every month because I HATE the FrogPond. I think it's total crap and I KNOW most people only do it, and probably lie their tails off just to get through the usually stupid useless boring sites, just to get to the poll and get their 3 Frog Pond credit and comb. I did it one month and really did not find it enjoyable in any way. Nothing there I find useful or interesting or new. If I was in the position of needing just one more comb to get a key? You bet your sweet patootie I'd do the damn Frog Pond.

There was one that was some kind of datebook thing., family organizer, whatever... I don't even remember. There's just no freaking way that is going to be useful to me... I use a school calendar agenda... fits in my purse so it's always with me if I need to check something. On the fridge is a dry erase full month calendar that has the last half of the current month and the next half of the next month on it so I can look ahead at a glance. Below it I keep a smaller dry erase board that I have marked off into 7 sections top to bottom, each for a day of the week. I change the dates on that every Sunday and write into it what's going on for the week. I can take one look at those calendars and know what's going on. I can add something to it the minute something comes up or wipe off something that gets cancelled. Having to log into my computer and screw around with finding a website and then logging into THAT etc etc... what a PAIN in the butt!!

That is just some of the useless kind of stuff I find on Frog Pond. and yes I am bored as hell today, lol.

LMAO *stock in the company*... umm... no thanks. I'll take an extra kit or two instead as long as it was something like the Chili's campaign... at this point a good kit is probably worth more than a few shares of stock considering they did just lay off people and they are going with really sucky stupid campaigns like Dodge. if you check the wiki there is someone who is 100 and something honey combs into level 6 so i just figured there is nothing after that, and it was the end even tho it "keeps going". You'll never reach a new level. I didn't know that the keys will continue to show up after that point. He also responded to my complaint about the business campaign, about the 2nd question that you cannot answer in any way at all if you don't work... he said they are working on it *right now* and it should be reworded soon so that I can finish the survey.

Sounds like they are younger...the Gamewave isn't really for young kids, it's more for an older kid to adult type of game. Some of the trivia questions are inappropriate for the younger ones (heads up). They would probably have more fun with a used Nintendo 64 or Gamecube (games are super cheap nowadays).

Is there a way to move up faster in the status level than doing 3 opinions/polls per month? Do you have to do campaigns or something else?

I ask because in the OP it says
Moongazebo is currently 89 honeycombs into SweetBee with nothing in sight. There are AT LEAST 106 combs in Level 6
and I doubt s/he's gotten that far by only getting 1 honeycomb a month.

You get one a month for doing 3 Frogponds. You get one per campaign when you do at least two reports. More reports per campaign do not get you more combs. Post campaign polls also give you one comb. So... the most combs you can get per campaign is two. Yes... taking campaigns in essence gets you another two combs, but you should not take them just because of that... take ones you can legitimately Bzz.

All of this is answered in the wiki...

I have 2 of them a big one and a small sized one. I ordered it 10 years ago, when I had hosted a party for pampered chef.

I really never used it until the past couple of years, I now have 4 kids since then and it's frequently used. They love it, I use it it for all sorts of sandwiches for them Tuna, lunch meat, grilled cheese, PB & J.
It works great and saves lots and lots $$$.
But my spoiled brat kids still beg me to buy those uncrustables and they seem to always sucker me in to buying them.

What is so different about the Pampered Chef thing instead of just using something like... a biscuit cutter. Because that is just what that thing looks like to me!

Probably the only difference would be that the PC tool crimps the edges & seals the bread for you & w/a biscuit cutter, you'd have to do it with your fingers...so it saves a little bit of time. If I'd already owned a biscuit cutter (and had thought about it), I probably wouldn't spend extra for the PC tool, but since I usually buy biscuits-in-a-tube, the PC tool is definitely worth the cost I paid.

I saw it on eBay in 3", 3.5" and 4" and debated which size to get. In the end, I measured a slice of our bread and got the 3.5" (which is the only size PC sells now.) I'm still debating getting the smaller one as a surprise for my daughter's tea parties. And b/c I could make some kicka$$ homemade ravioli.

So it's got something like a more rounded than sharp cutting edge? That is the only thing I can think of that would be different enough to actually mash the edges of the bread together. Sounds like a neat little tool... I am big on kitchen gadgets, lol, but never got into Pampered Chef stuff. Which is probably a good thing... my kitchen isn't big enough as it is for all my crap!

If you are offered a campaign that you can use the key for, it is not an option. The only option is to take the campaign or not; if they've put a key in play, you HAVE to use it to take the campaign right then. We've pretty much discovered it's not worth saving them for long and when you have two or more, we usually end up taking it if it's an even slightly ok campaign. *Sometimes* if you decline the campaign offered with a key, you will get it offered later without having to use it... but it doesn't happen all the time, and if it's a really good campaign, chances are it is going to fill up fast. So if it's offered, take it, if it's something you want to buzz.

Hey Everyone, sorry I have been away! I responded to a few of the ongoing posts - but here is the scoop...

For November we have 3 more campaigns coming - one will be a familiar campaign from the recent past, the other two are restaurant/food and home & beauty (I'm not trying to be vague on purpose, I'm just not sure how much I should say)

So, you may have seen on the beelog that we had a great sales quarter - you will see the affects in the end of January, all of February... some seriously awesome and large campaigns on deck (cleaning products, food, health, beauty).

I don't really know what the golf survey was all about, sorry

He gets TONS of exercise... and seriously, we went out to lunch today to Red Robin (for my bday which is tomorrow that I have to work through) and the kid WANTED to have melon, carrots, apples and celery for lunch. I talked to his dr and apparently it's important to be "heart healthy" but he's still a kid... so as long as the "crap" is not a staple of his diet, let him be four... (in moderation...) :wink5:

Hey if he will also eat cheese, then that's not such a bad meal! He needs the protein... but I think it's cool when kids WANT to eat like that. Mine have always, even as toddlers, preferred salads and fruits and raw veggies to other really bad stuff, which seems weird to some people even now that they are teens.

1. You commit to spending $10 on a gift (nothing sexual, political or religious)
2. Within 48 hours we pair you with a swap partner of the same gender, in the same country
3. We send you the email address of your swap partner so you can exchange shipping addresses
4. You mail your partner's gift before 12/20/08, and your partner does the same
5. You can even upload a picture of the gift you receive via our Flickr group

Sounds like a lot of fun...

A giftcard? Wow, how, um..... nm. Might as well send a check or cash, at least they don't have to drive to a specific store to use it. I really can't stand giving giftcards unless I know for a fact someone is planning to put them towards a purchase at a certain store for a large item. Even at that, I would rather give cash. Especially coming from a Slickdealer- I mean we can practically load up the underside of a Christmas tree for $10! IMO an exchange is to exchange items, not cash.

FYI - was at Big Lots yesterday and they had the Game Wave for $30! Not sure what all it had with it but I was surprised to see it for that price.

Zapit Games is entering the market of interactive DVD games by offering a new twist to family game playing: a new DVD gaming system called GAME WAVE. The Game Wave system is a DVD player with four unique remotes and comes packaged with the software trivia game 4 Degrees: The Arc of Trivia, Vol. 1; families can purchase two additional remotes ($28), and Zapit Games has released four additional games to play on the Game Wave system, each retailing for $28. With the Game Wave system, family members can compete head-to-head. For example, when playing 4 Degrees: The Arc of Trivia, Vol. 1, all players compete to answer the same question; the system registers how quickly a player answers.

I feel the same way...for me its about giving...even my own family wants to stop exchanging gifts so I think this is nice.

Good point about the allegies.

So you don't care when they took the time to pick something nice out for there partner. And they get your crappy gift in return.

I hope and will pray that your gift what ever it might be , will be broken if something to eat tatse like crap , something to wear makes you break out. Why because I want you to get something good in return.

I already sent my swap partner a blank questionnaire (borrowed from secret santa thread) and also sent him/her a filled out questionnaire with my info. I hope I will receive a reply very soon from my swap partner so I can start shopping. This is fun and exciting.

Sometimes, we have the opportunity to share the gift of giving unconditionally with someone who doesn't see it's value. ;) Don't let the unworthy keep you from having fun...you never know, you might just get stuck with someone totally and insanely awesome! :D

As others have said, the fun of giving is what you focus on. I always have more fun doing my shopping at the holidays, thinking about what I am going to get everyone, figuring out the *perfect* gifts, and then watching everyone open them. The only thing that is going to disappoint me in this swap is not hearing from my partner and not being able to send a gift!

I hope you folks do better than I did. Yesterday, I mentioned I heard from my swap partner that she would be including the price of postage in the $10?
I had emailed her back and said that would be fine, I would do the same and that I understood.

This morning I get an email saying after looking at her funds, she "simply could not afford it."

The BzzAgent member has a very unique BzzName so I googled it. I have a strong suspicion that my partner is a younger male age 20. He posts on different forums
for music.

This has been a joke for me. I was so looking forward to this. If by chance what I googled is not the same person, he or she should have never agreed to this.

Good luck to the rest of you, sounds like it's all coming together.

I will be notifiying BzzAgent.

During this time of year they have very decorative photo albums. Target has a great selection of these. They look like velvet, adorned in ribbon, etc. for holiday gift giving. Since she has kids, you can't go wrong with a photo album.

Something like that would be really nice but then there is the issue of whether or not she has a babysitter. Something that might work without them going out would be a $5 gift card to a Blockbuster or Hollywood video (since you have her address you can find out what is nearby!) and stick it in a cute popcorn bucket, a couple packs of microwave popcorn, a box or two of movie candy... And they can (hopefully) enjoy it after kids are in bed.

My son's in college and he's 19. He really appreciates gift cards to starbucks or subway, any toiletry items (razors, toothpaste, deodorant, stuff like that). Also you could do a snacks gift box -- microwave popcorn, candy, gum, stuff like that. Playing cards are always a good idea, too.

If you want to do something more personal, make them cookies or brownies, my son and his friends always love that. If you wrap them pretty tightly and pack them well, they'll ship just fine.

Dude, that was a joke. It's "college". "Collage" is a mixed media art project where you glue stuff to a page. Don't send him scissors.

College students love gift cards because they're always broke - just make sure that it's to a store in the area around the college.
