Could maybe we have a place to move threads once the deal is dead? As a newbie I have noticed some deas deals are not marked and even the ones that are clutter up the forum with people continuing to talk about a deal long after its unavailable.

If you find out it's dead, just mod alert it, and a Moderator will make that it's dead.

This gets suggested every once in a while.

IMHO, the best way to deal with "dead" deals is to have a mod (via ModAlert) or OP (via PM) change the title to begin with the word "Dead."

There are very good reasons for not splitting off supposedly dead deals.

Often, a dead deal comes back to life. Sometimes people are mistaken when they think a deal is dead, because they tried to get it and couldn't, even though the deal is still active.

Sometimes a vendor will increase the inventory available for a deal, or extend a deadline.

Also, there may be a lot of discussion about the deal, such as rebate status, shipping info, how to use the equipment, etc., which is not really "dead info."
