Everytime the weather gets nice and I have alot of family visit I have to hunt for coupons or discounts for Disney and other attractions. Thought it would be useful to have a thread that puts them together.
I've listed a few main places headings. Please feel free to add new ones. You can add places to pick up coupons in the Wiki. I plan to stop at some Fast Food places to see whats available later, possibly.
If nothing else it has links to the attraction's websites all in one place. :)
Disney, here we come!

Great post here and very helpful!
If anyone can chime in and give me some good guidance, I would greatly appreciate it.
I booked 4 days at Howard Johnson in Anaheim, supposely its one block from the front entrance. I booked 7/1 thru 7/5 and my plan was to get down there (i'm from bayarea) and hit a Von's and buy like 3 day hopper passes.
I'm not actually looking for any 'SD' here; I just don't want to get killed!.
I'm also planning to get the "entertainment book" to get a 15% discount on the rooms which were not cheap > $100 per night.
Do anyone know how much are those 3 day hoppers at Von's?
TIA,
BMO

You can find tons of disneyland tickets on ebay, that's what I've always used. Usually save about $15 for each singal park entrance ticket. I'm sure you could save over $100 on a bunch of 3 day hoppers!

They said it would be $94 for a 2 day park hopper. They don't have 3 day hoppers.

We're going to Disneyland next week for spring break. Here's what I've done:
Airfare for family of 4 - from Seattle under $600 using partial miles for each ticket
Hotel - Mariott Anaheim Suites - $47/night using Priceline
Car rental (to visit family in San Diego) - $140 for the whole trip using Priceline
Disneyland Park Hopper tickets - was going to use this link:
http://arestravel.com/77_ticket-list.html?sortBy=&locationID=m1455&attractionName=&attractionCategoryID=0
which puts 3 day hoppers at $149/each, 4 day hoppers at $154/each, etc
But I ended up buying a 5 day park hopper off craigslist from a family that couldn't go, tickets include parking if needed. Now our family in San Diego can use those tickets after we leave.
Our next biggest cost will be food. Our hotel has fridge/microwave so that should help with some costs.
Thanks for the great links and ideas! I'm always looking for more ways to save money. Hope this helps somebody else out there!

I'm not that familiar with Priceline. What amount should I bid for the room for July 1-July 5? I haven't tried hard thinking no deals for a holiday weekend.

Check out biddingfortravel.com
This is a website where everyone posts their winning bids from Priceline so you can get an idea of where to start and how to re-bid, etc. I think you can definitely get a great price using Priceline! You just have to research how to do it the right way.

Sea World San Diego's regular adult admission is $65, but their website currently has a Two Days for the price of One promotion in effect through 2009.
If you enter the promotional code SWCClipperIE09, you can purchase two 2009 SeaWorld San Diego Fun Cards for $119, up to a total of six Fun Cards.
For those that do not know, Fun Cards allow unlimited admission to the park for the rest of the calendar year. Parking fees are not included like with the annual passports.

Hi, my trip is set for Disneyland this summer. Planning to get the 3 day park hopper passes. I am wondering should we visit Universal Studio. We have never been there before and would like to ask if its worth ponying up the extra money. I would have to buy the Hopper pass with the SoCal extras. I think its like $50 bucks more. Would the kids enjoy it? they are 5 and 2. Thanks.

Okay my birthday has finally come around, got my free Disney ticket, and have signed up for every birthday meal freebie that is around here.
Planned an itinerary which includes free brkfst at Mimi's Cafe before I go in, stepping out for lunch at Red Robbin, and when I leave, dinner at Buca Di Beppo. (they really want me to spend my dinner with them considering all the Q's they mailed out :)
Of course I expect to walk all those meals off going to the exit twice, but its a plan.
I just wish I could have scored a free ticket so I could bring a friend with me. Money's tight with everyone these days.
Oh yes, found you can get the 2fers at Stater Bros too. 69.95.

Went to disney, had a great time, don't know if they offered everyone, but the kiosk lady upgraded me to a 2fer (SoCA resident) for free on my birthday pass ticket. Said I could go in again within 30 days to the other park. I'm guessing that that is being offered through the end of this month or till the 2fer promotion is over.
So... CA Adventure, here I come!
I was on a budget, and am proud to say I didn't spend a penny in the park. I brought in snacks, remember to pack them in see through ziplocks because if they can't look through the packaging you have to unpack to show them.
No hard coolers, I brought a soft sided one but she made me open the pockets etc...
Left the park for lunch and came back. It was fine because I was using my bday freebies, but I recommend paying for full day parking and asking if you can leave and return (don't know the policy). That way you don't get tired out returning to your car.
Helpful hint, there are 2 rides at Disneyland where you can go to the front of the line if you are a single rider. One is Indiana Jones in Adventureland - tell the attendant, and the other is Splash Mountain - go through the exit all the way in.
I was on my own so I went through quick, at least for Splash Mountain. Indiana Jones I think I waited an hour, or so it seemed. The line at the time was longer than that.
Also head for the most popular or long line ones first thing in the AM. Lines got heavier by around 11:30am and were pretty long through the afternoon. I missed out on Finding Nemo because of this. (75 min wait! at 3pm)

Will I need to show proof of residency or anything at the gate if I purchase the 2fer pass or the Summer fun pass? Your response is greatly appreciated.

Here's a page listing and analyzing the costs for tickets for Disneyland and California Adventure. It's great for showing you which ticket package is the best for you. It NOT applicable if you live in Southern Calif. For example, at the time the page was published, the cost of tickets at AAA was the same cost as at Disneyland.
