If I joined 20 - 100 online survey websites, and spend anywhere from 8 - 10 hours a day doing surveys, how much could I potentially earn?

First off, it is difficult to find legit survey websites. Lets say you found 20 legit websites, i would say the avg. cash out would be approximately $20 max per website. In an average month you would make about $400. Personally, I think even that is quite difficult. Often times people do not qualify for surveys because the survey is looking for certain people that meet their criteria.

I only do it during nap time while doing other things around the house.

This a spreadsheet of what I make a month and each site.

The spreadsheet is a good example of how difficult it is... you have to notice most of those are gift cards and such, not actual cash. MyPoints, for another example, unless you're making purchases that add points more quickly (and take a good 20 days or more to post) take awhile to save up enough for something like that $10 Walmart card.

Most survey sites rarely pay more than a dollar or two per survey that sucks up massive amounts of time. There is no way you will find any legitimate sites that will send you surveys so often that you are spending hours and hours a day working on them, no matter how many you sign up with. You would be hard pressed to find even a dozen of them that are legitimate, let alone 50 or 100.

wow i dont know how your question can really be properly answered? even if youd do 100 surveys per month it doesnt mean much.... it depends on which surveys you qualify for, which companies you fill them out from, how fast you do them before the quota fills up..etc..
I know for me, over the years i learned to sort them out and keep the best ones depending on how much time i could afford spending on the net everyday day.

My total for 2009 is in my signature, but most of my Amazons have come from a Communispace that I'm in..
Also, some weeks I'm more active than other weeks.

LOL that is okay with me! I keep records of everything! I think the rule is no more than 600 dollars from a single source?

I am addicted to Google documents. I also keep of a list of what coupon I get from email companies.

Tax law is that the survey company doesn't have to send you (& the IRS) a 1099 until you reach $600.

The IRS expects you to report every dollar.

I actually do give the earnings to our Accountant and he takes care of it. Giftcards really don't count as reportable income from what he said. Because of my husbands job I need to stay extremely legal ;)

But its up to each person what they want to do. I personally couldn't do a notebook, I like that it instantly tells me my totals.

I don't think you will ever get up to 8 hours a day of surveys, honestly.

I am signed up with everyone and maybe do 1 hour a day, maybe 2 max on a great day. And I spend some time on ones that I don't qualify for during that 1-2 hours.

(I can't get the spreadsheet to load for me, and I'm jealous :P)

Last year, I made our Christmas money with surveys, focus groups, and rebates. We ended up with around $1500 in cash and another $600 or so in gift cards. That was doing surveys as I found them, some days an hour or so, some days not at all (when I started the project, my twins were four months old and my oldest had just turned 3, so some days I had a little time, some days I had none :D). I did get a couple of lucky breaks--one long-term survey that paid a total of around $200, a couple of surveys where I won gift cards, and one really nice rebate--but even without counting those, I averaged $100 or so per month.

Personally, I have had the best luck with surveys and focus groups posted here and on similar boards rather than the 'sites'. As someone else pointed out, those frequently have surveys that can take 30 minutes or more for $1, sometimes less. The one exception is Pinecone--I've been a member of that one for years, and I usually make about $100 a year and get a couple of product tests from them, and the surveys rarely take more than ten minutes to complete. (though I'm sure that average will drop significantly this year, since my payments went from $5 per survey to $3 :( ) My other 'long term' membership is mypoints--yeah, it takes a while to accrue the points, but I signed up to get the emails, set up an automatic filter, then hit the folder once a week or so. Open the email, click the link, let the page load, close it, make five points. I usually get about 10 emails a week, takes me about 10 minutes to run through them, giving me around 50 points or so. Not a lot of time invested weekly, and I occassionally remember to click through mypoints when I'm making a purchase, so I usually end up with a couple of hundred dollars worth of giftcards from them a year. I'm sure there are other reliable companies out there, but those are the only two I hit consistently.

Like others have said, this isn't really something you can do for eight hours a day to pay the rent, but it IS a good way to save money for something special.

What I make monthly varies greatly. It depends on if in that month I get in on a good paying online focus group, or how many surveys I qualify for, etc. For me it is just a good way to make a little extra "mad money" as my uncle used to say.

I use the Amazon giftcards to order Pampers through the subscribe and save feature since we don't have a Target, Sam's, CVS or Wags nearby.

Its great because I don't pay for diapers anymore and they are delivered monthly.

Wow, that spreadsheet is awesome. As far as the OP question, I think it really boils down to having the patience and time to do all the surveys. Sometimes, they will send you a survey that is 20 minutes long or more that will only pay a $1. IMO, those are a waste of time.I personally think joining a communispace or some sort of online focus group is more fun and profitable.

Does anyone know the rules on alot of the sites? I only ask because a couple years back i joined a site (I guess it was alot like MyPoints because you could get surveys and get GC and surveys and PT etc) Anyway, i logged on at work one day, and not knowing it, somebody else was logged on there too.. we were on the same IP address. They took away my money (i think i had about 63.00) on there - I had not "cashed out" that month. and they locked me out of my account.
Does anyone know if this rule still exists with those companies? I used to have inbox dollars too, but honestly, ever since the "IP" MIXUP i have stayed away, and i would really like to get back into it. Ill be a newleywed in 25 days and my hubby to be and i are planning out 1 year anniversary trip, and i would like to put away a little "found" money each month.

if anyone is familiar with any good ones, would you mind posting them here too? I very out of touch with those

There are some survey sites that also pay you when your friends do surveys every dollar helps and soon adds up.

LOL! I've just been hitting the 'net hard and really searching. I've lucked out with several online focus groups through slickdeals, and some on CL (craigslist). Done 2 online focus groups for $200 a piece, and a bunch more for $50-100 a piece.

I did a big one through a social networking site I'm on that paid $350 and a product test. I had to file the product on my taxes because it was worth a bunch (got picked to receive a HP computer as part of an influencer program).

What similar boards do you frequent, if you don't mind me asking? Slickdeals is always my #1, but I like to glance at others also. I had a whole folder with all my good freebie/survey boards and that computer crashed some time ago and I've been trying in vain to google and I'm finding nothing! If anyone has any suggestions, I'd appreciate it so!

Yes, I've had the same job for over 15 years. I have been on a temporary layoff working 10-15 hours per week since the first of December, hoping for the economy to pick up again.

I would say at most you could make 150 per month. That is IF you do not fail any paid surveys and get lucky with a focus group.

I would say I avg three surveys per day, two unpaid.

With no insurance and TMJD I wish I could earn more money to cover my medical bills.
