Rumor has it that the next Call of Duty game will take place in Cuba and Vietnam.

According to a source close to That VideoGame Blog, Activision has been looking at licensing tunes released during the Vietnam era (1959-1975), as well as African, Cuban, and Russian music.

Call of Duty: World at War senior producer Noah Heller is supposedly on board, which if it proves to be true, it’s a Treyarch game.

Activison’s response to these rumors was the usual: “Activision doesn’t comment on rumor and speculation.”

looks like yet another treyarch game i'll not be buying...

i think infinity ward has a deal to make like the next 3 COD games. so treyarch won't have there hands on the franchise for a while.

W@W wasn't a bad game from what I played, its just not as good as COD4 in my opinion so I decided not to buy it either. I'll just wait for the next IW game. Hopefully it will be as full featured as W@W ... co-op and a zombie mode would be awesome.

That's pretty much the way I see it too. I don't have a beef with Treyarch as a studio and I think they did a good job with WaW, though it didn't hold my interest for as long as COD4. Cuba/Vietnam sounds like a refreshing update...when they (really) start tackling extra terrestrials is when I get skeptical.

im arab and i want more call of duty games that have to do with the middle east and arabs

World At War gets a bad rap just because it's not COD4. They're both great games, but COD4 just has more staying power because it's not the same WWII theme that's been hashed to death already. Zombie Mode really helped save its replay value, but it really was NOT a bad game and shouldn't be treated as such; neither should Treyarch be construed as a poor-quality game developer.

Perhaps that's your opinion, but Battlefield Vietnam was the best. However, I doubt it will have that feel vietnam had the first time I played it.

The reason many people (hell, including me) don't like CoD:5 is because of CoD:4.... If CoD4 wasn't released, and it wen't strait to WAW then people would love it.

A Vietnam era FPS is just was I was looking for though, and this might be on my 2010 Christmas list :) (If i will ever get un-addicted to MW2 when that comes out....)

I like WAW.
Single Player cant touch COD4 but I like the map set up in WAW better.
(Less areas to tower camp)
