We bought some new equipment and started doing this test at our work called the HALO Breast Pap Test, and it may be looking into. Chances are if your GYN has it, they've already advertised the heck out of you.

So apparently, many people don't really feel their boobies very carefully or just blow it off when they do feel something. Thus, be sure to feel all the way out and up to your armpits, and make sure to feel the entirety of the boob. And if you do feel something obviously don't blow it off.
And still get your regular checkups as appropriate for your age since smaller cancers can and do get missed even on mammograms and self exams and even non-self exams so you should do all of them to improve the odds of catching it early.
