I love Plaza Research. Every study pays well and you get your money right away. I don't qualify for this one, but I'm doing one now in Tampa. Get in on it if you can.

Plaza Research talked to me multiple times (10 phone calls later) for this project in Grand Rapids, MI. Even sent me a 12 page homework assignment, then called one day & told me this in home study is cancelled in Grand Rapids. Now they are talking applications again. I think either their client is just unbelievablely disorganized or something is up! I would not want these people coming to my house for $225.00. I was just preparing to get my house in tidy order, got a brand new outdoor grill, bought almost new outdoor furniture for our deck from my neighbor, & was ready to rock-n-roll. They told me up to 5 people arriving on June 2, 2009. They had everything set, then the assigned project manager contacted me again, and cancelled ! One day later (this 05/28/09), I received another email stating "Your accepted to complete the in-home interview on either June 2nd, or June 3rd, 2009. Very strange. Just an FYI, Plaza Research did not inform me whom the client was, a true mystery. Good news, I have done a successful survey for Plaza Research with no problem, and received compensation very quickly. I really think it's their client that keeps changing their market survey requirements.

I have done many focus groups and in home studies for Plaza Reasearch in Tampa. They are good and pay well. The trick is to call as soon as you can to get in. I even went to a group where not enough people showed up and I still got paid. They are worth it. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I have a feeling it was the client. They will sometimes not disclose the client so you will not form an opinion beforehand.

I have never done an in-home through them but I have for 3 other companies ( hagen, ipsos, focus forward) they were all 150-200. Really fun. It's usually 3-4 people that come, sometimes they bring a video camera and they tape record too.
