So I get the below survey invite from Esearch...
They never tell you how long of a survey it will be (5 minutes, 20 mins, 1 hour??).
I click the link and as an IT 'decision maker', I am asked to answer questions about my organization's Disaster Recovery Plans.
After **30 minutes** of my valuable time, I AM ONLY HALF WAY THROUGH THE SURVEY! And the compensation is only $5.00! You have got to be kidding me!
I have taken 45 minute phone surveys and been paid $175.00 for my time and input.
These guys are really a joke. Don't waste your time with them.

Esearch also has the tendency to make you go all of the way to the end of the study, only to say that you have not qualified. So they get their data, and you get shafted. :(

did you not know how much the survey would pay before you started it? i can understand if they changed the amount, but they tend to be pretty clear about how much you will be paid.. sorry you feel shafted..

It was for $5 and it was a IT study. It took almost 20 minutes to get through it, and then it said that did not qualify. It made it seem like it was a screener, as opposed to the study.

I always have good luck with esearch. Their payments take a little while, but they pay PayPal so that's always a plus.

I have had no problems with them, and have been with them for long time. I wish I would get more surveys from them though, As the above poster said, I like that they pay via paypal.
I just got paid for a survey that I did in mid-April.

I love Esearch, never had any problem at all. I don't get a lot of surveys from them, but almost everything I've gotten has been for a product test usually with a payment of at least $30 for doing it!

agree, I love eSearch. Paypal payments & they pay great! Much better than some other companies. If I've ever had a problem with not receiving a payment I email them & almost instantly get a reply within the next few minutes (and usually my missing Paypal pymt. immediately following). Their great! :bounce:

Don't feel too bad. I started an Opinion Outpost one that said for 10 points. I was thinking it meant ten dollars. I did a half an hour's worth. Then after it was completed saw it was only worth $1! grrrrrrrr

I've never had any problems with esearch before. I've only made about $50 with them since I started, but whatever. Money is money.

I think your experience is not the typical experience with Esearch. My company uses them and they do a wonderful job. We do many surveys with them, many also involve testing new products. Our hope is that people will enjoy testing the new product in their home, give their honest opinion in the comfort of their own home using their computer and get paid.
My response to the person who says that they "use the data" when they do not qualify....after being in the business for many years....that has never been the case with any studies I have managed.

I just received an email from them and it ended up being a beverage Communispace. Got accepted, this is the second Communispace for me in three days.

I love when you get a $2 Esearch survey, and it turns out to be about 2 minutes long and qualify for you something like a $30 PT.
I  Esearch.

But, you can only be in one Communispace as they will check your address and name. I am now in one and got invitation for another 2 and was qualified. One of these 2 is very very good one that I thrive to get in. Then, I realized that I would never receive a response back because Communispace will only allow one participation for each person at the same time. Luckily, my current one is quite interesting and there're quite a bit of activities to keep me busy. Good luck!

I also have good luck with esearch-they are not pesky or long and they seem to pay quickly.

Did anyone else receive this email from Esearch today?

I have to agree that normally they are a fairly good company. However, this survey was more than a little over the top for what they were willing to pay for it.
I don't think I am ready to give up on them but I will continue to view their invitations with a bit more care. :O
