I don't know if this has been posted but maybe there should be a dead button,

A. the OP can press it and it automatically edits the title with *DEAD* so he doesnt have to edit if hes lazy, some people (not me) are just to lazy to click edit and add dead

and/or

B. people can click dead on the original post and if enough (5/10/15/etc) click it, then *DEAD* is added to the title

Most of the time, the OP doesn't come back in time. You can always Mod Alert it & request the title to be changed reflecting it's dead.

Thats what I usually do, but maybe suggestion B could be implemented if mods are too busy/not around....let's face it sometimes the loads on mods are very overwhelming because there are so many posts and users on SD. So instead of 20 people saying "The page cannot be found" or "This deal is over due to overwhelming requests" or 20 people sending mod alerts, they just click the dead button

IIRC, it's been suggested a few times. IMO, I think some people may use it out of retaliation. Hot Deals gets pretty vicious at times.
