I canceled the movie survey because I took it Jan 2008 and I ended up making about $10/hr with the time that is involved, many more than 6 hours. One participant emailed me and told me she avg about $7/hr. Though it is better $ than the $1 30 min wireless survey they are offering now. $1 is just ridiculous.

They are asking for your own SSN or EIN! The study had to do with small businesses as in people who work for themselves and report earnings on a Schedule C. Therefore a W2 would not apply - one would receive a 1099-MISC for their earnings.

The purpose of this study is to report collective, accurate results on the banking habits and preferences of small business owners. The findings will be used to provide banking solutions to ensure small business owners’ needs are addressed in the banking community.

Yes - MOST business who pay employees usually have an EIN for payroll reporting purposes. But those who do not can use their SSN instead. Therefore, people in business for themselves without employees usually use their SSN.

Here is everything you want to know about EINs:

http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=98350,00.html

They are not asking for information from a W-2 - they are asking about your OWN business information. If they were only asking for businesses I work for then I would have certainly participated in the study and would not have posted this in the first place.

 I was just trying to point out what a business ID number is for most businesses out there. :omg:

Thank you for pointing that out as I am well aware of what a business ID is. As I said, they are asking for YOUR personal ID whether it be an EIN or an SSN for this survey. They want to verify that you are a legitimate business! NOT someone you work for with W2 wages. :shake:

I've hadn't had a decent paying survey from this site in close to a month. This has to be related to the economy since one of the first expenses cut by a company is advertising. The company can't justify the expense if there are no sales.

gene55
03-22-2009, 06:20 PM
I beg to differ. The reason we donot get paying surveys from this company is because we are dumb enough to do them for free. Survey Spot, like a lot of others have found out that if they throw us a bone one time out of a hundred {if we are lucky) that we are stupid enough to do their surveys for free, while they get paid for every one. This is the reason behind this unjust and unfair treetment. As long as we are dogs in their eyes, and just accept any bone they are willing to give us, then we get what we derserve.

:iagree: with this thread being a valuable tool for all of us. That is why I will take the extra minute to post a survey invite which may look and smell like a PT or Invoke if it leads to nothing. I do not wish to see any more people than myself waste their valuable time on something not worthwhile.

I have only been doing surveys daily for only a few months now but I joined Survey Spot and others at about the same time and SS has probably been one of the stingiest with me. It might be based on my demographics but they hardly ever give me any paying surveys, no pt's and no invokes just sweepstakes. Oh and I have only made about $22 the whole time with them while I have made a whole lot more with other companies. I am not putting them down because lots of people do seem to get good money from them I am just saying that I don't.

In comparison to last year, this year has been weak when it comes to paying surveys. I used to get about 2-3 paying surveys a day, and 1 invoke every 3-4 weeks. This year so far, no invokes, and about 1 paying survey every 3 - 4 days.

Yes, I am still waiting. It has been so long ago that I almost forgot about it! I have not even contacted them either. Now that I think about it I am not even sure if they sent me a link to the "After" my appointment survey. Hmm...I will have to check my old emails. I know that I did at least 2 of them. I hope that you recieve your compansation soon! I wonder if anyone else is still waiting?

I was always wondering what happened to this one...I remember siging up for the office visit and then I didn;t get the final survey, was wondering if I was DQ'd...

I don't remember if this has been posted yet, but it's official Survey spot is going to start using Paypal.

"Our members spoke, and we listened! Next month, SurveySpot will be moving to PayPal! For more information on PayPal, and how this will affect your rewards please go to: http://www.surveyspot.com/paypal.shtml
BUT
"As a part of our shift to PayPal, SurveySpot will also be moving to a points system. Points will be available on select surveys - in the same manner that cash incentives are currently offered. Once you reach a certain threshold, points can then be cashed out through PayPal, which will greatly expedite the time it takes to receive your reward! Further details on the revised reward system and points will be coming soon."

This point system could bring an end to one of the best paying and best survey sites out. We will have to see how the use points. We will all have to be careful because they could start using high point values to make it look like your making good money, for example: 1000 pts = $1.00. :vomit:

My account was closed on Feb-02-2009 without any reason after I ordered a big check with $200. After one month arguing ( called them, reported them to Surveyploice and BBB), they recovered my account on March-06-2009 and said sorry. Today, they suddenly closed my account without any notice or reason!!! These days, it seems they totally ignore your complaints and never response your email or message. So frustrated.. I will continue to fight with them to get my $56 back and then close my account. I don't know what's trick they are playing.!

It was not an invoke. It was a survey that said it was a 10.00 reward, then at the end they asked for another 30 mins for another 10.00. My survey popped up when I went through SS to check for surveys.

:shake: but was wondering when we would be paid for that one.

About 4 weeks after the end date, and the follow up call, would be 6-8 weeks (after end date) if at all.

The follow up call is based on the response you gave in the blog survey. I didn't get it either, but I don't think they call too many people. But with the last one most people never sent in their photo, or other things they were supposed to do.

Did anyone get the beta test through Surveyspot for the Ebay thing? Did you receive your gift cards? I received one, and didn't get one for this past week or the week before and when I e-mailed them, I was told the testing ended April 7th. Waiting to hear back why I didn't receive my gift card for the week before and upset no one informed me the beta test would be ending. I was told it would last for 5 weeks, not 2.

Wow, lot of quick worthless surveys today! None of them lead to anything. My doubt for SS is starting to kick in, the only thing that could save SS is the fact that they are in transition for Paypal. I just hope after that starts we get some good paying surveys back and invokes for everyone!
