View Full Version : Global Test Markey On Last Leg

Last week I got an survey invitation email from Global Test Market. The email also showed my current point total. Completing the survey would have put me at the redemption threshold of 1000 points. I qualified for the survey and completed it yet my points remained the same. Clicking on the survey link in the email invitation takes me to a web page which tells me I already completed the survey.
I emailed GTM about this. I received a reply in which GTM said they don't see anything wrong with my account. I forwarded the email invitation to them, told them to note the point value, and to check the survey link to see that it was in fact completed by me. I haven't heard back.
Now every survey invitation I get from GTM is hosted by someone else. Mostly lightspeed, but I just got one for the first time hosted by Zoom Panel. Of course every one of these is surveys is filled or closed when I attempt to take them.
Looks like GTM is on their last leg. They are cheating people out of points when they are near the point redemption threshold and are now doing surveys for other survey companies. I suspect their reputation for dishonesty and making excuses not to pay us has gotten so bad that companies looking to have market research done will not use them.

There are entirely too many upstanding survey companies out there to waste your time with GTM.
Report them at once to Surveypolice.com You have a reasonable chance of getting what is owed you if you ask them to mediate.

this IMHO has to be one of the worse survey sites....

In all fairness I think this was one of the better sites. I have redeemed many times and always received my payment quickly. Things have definetly changed but will see how it goes at next payout time. The surveys are fewer and coming from everywhere, including OTX (oh, I hate them).

i think the points dont show up right away. it takes time for the survey to be 'cleared' before you get your points. it's like that with some survey companies.

I have had no problems with redemptions. You have to wait a while like four weeks but I have gotten paid each and every time.

I love GTM and I just had recently redeemed for $50 and am almost already at another $50 again soon.

I've always had nothing but good things to say about GTM. Sometimes their points take a while to credit - especially when its hosted by another company - but I've never been cheated out of any points. I've cashed in probably over 700 within the past few years, and always have been paid promptly and never screwed over.

I agree with you as OTX are not great surveys to have to try to qualify for but I noticed GTM doesn't just use them Mindfield has been using alot of OTX surveys lately also.

No, you are not alone. I think I may have only qualified for like two OTX surveys ever and that is saying alot. LOL!

They are not on their last leg at all. I think that GTM is one of the better sites. If you really think there is a problem give them a call they have a toll free number on the global insite page. (The corporate page) Yes, the points do not always show right away. They are a reputable company. I have earned over $400.00 from them.

I've never had a problem with them but then I've only cashed out twice and don't really keep on top of the surveys, rarely do them.

weird, i have never had a problem with them.. the points fluctuate in my account, but i keep track and they always add up eventually, typically within 2 weeks after i have completed a survey. cash out was super quick and painless.

not my favorit one but still like it. Never had problems getting my money and my points always balanced out.

OP, have you tried actually logging in to your account on the GTM site to see what your points show? I've noticed that the points totals as listed in the emails tend to fluctuate, but when I log into my actual account on the website the points are usually correct.
And I agree with what most of the others have said. GTM is a good site and so far I've not had any problems with cashing in from them. :)

Yes, as widgit said, I have noticed the emails show point totals that are behind (sometimes a week or more) in what is currently stated when I log in. I too, have seen delays in getting my points posted, but I have been paid out three times now, and despite the OTX surveys you sometimes get, I actually like GTM.

I totally agree. When I first joined GTM about 2 years ago I made about 350 dollars in those years... but now, I rarely get any points, and sometimes I complete a whole survey then they tell me I didn't qualify!
I am getting very angry.

GTM, Mindfield and OTX are the worst. I never qualify so I don't bother anymore. Who has time to waste if you are not going to make any cash?? So many others pay well. Speaking of that, Clearview seems to have reduced alot, I used to do SO well with them...
