I'm not sure how many of SD users are a part of this panel, MyTobaccoVillage, but I was wondering about the incentive, if there is one? Earlier this month I joined thru a Clear Voice Surveys screener and I can't remember if during the screener it mentioned anything about Amazon certs or anything, and dumb me forgot to get screenshots of the pages. Anyone??

There's no incentive, just free research for them. When I first got into the forum I saw someone ask whether there was an incentive and the moderator said (loosely quoted) "Do you really need one if you know that the info you provide will be used to help make the products you use better, blah, blah, blah". I gave a comment or two just to participate and see what happens, but I seriously doubt anything money or cards are coming. :shake:

Quick heads up: I received an email from the Moderator or whomever today about why I haven't been logging in and contributing, etc. At the bottom of the email it says "they're in the process of creating an incentives programme" so... we'll see where that goes.

This was in the newest email I got from MTV:

"RJR would like to show you all how much they appreciate your insights, so we will be launching a few new incentive programs in early August. All you have to do to participate is to be an active Community member. Be sure to check out these new programs at the following link and get ready for a little friendly competition in the MyTobaccoVillage Community."

And this from the site...

"In early August, we will be launching a few new incentive programs to supplement the current ‘Weekly Village Insight’ and ‘Villager of the Month’ programs.

Parker's Picks

I will have the opportunity to select my five favorite posts each month and those five members will receive a $20 Amazon gift card. These posts may or may not be from people who have been selected as ‘Weekly Village Insight' winners. If there is a particular week with several strong posts, my picks may all come from that week. Also, the Villager of the Month will also be receiving a $25 Amazon gift card.

Points Leaders

We will be introducing a points system in which members will be receiving points for different activities they participate in. Members will earn points for things such as replying to sponsored discussions, taking polls, replying to member-started discussions, etc. Obviously, I'll have the ability to remove points from posts that are one-word or short answers that were not well thought out. Each month the top 10 points earners will receive a $15 Amazon gift card.

Random Acts of Camel

This is for members who do a great job and continually participate in the Community, but may not be recognized with the first two aspects of the incentive program. This will allow me to send an occasional gift to someone who has not been recognized as 'Parker's Pick,' 'Points Leader,' ‘Weekly Village Insight,’ or ‘Villager of the Month,’ but still deserve some Camel appreciation. Recipients of the ‘Random Acts of Camel’ will receive a $10 Amazon gift card."
