I also asked if they have them in stock, and she said "yes". Anyone that live on the west coast this the store that I called.

In Japan, they got 2 Coach pens and a red/white Coach Poppy make up case. They are on Ebay right now. I am going to try my Coach by work on Monday. Hopefully they are still in stock then.

So is the box something you can store the pencils in? A keeper or is it just a thin cardboard box that would fall apart and get tossed? I can't tell by the pic.

It's not a pencil case, it is made of carboard, but the cardboard isn't so thin that it will fall apart, it is thick cardboard, so you can probably store pencils in it, that is what I plan to do...

I went in and told them I wanted to see the new Poppy collection for my daughter. She showed me and I told her when my daughter was back in town we would be in so she could see if she liked the collection. Then I gave her my slip and she gave me my gift. Just tell the associate that you wanted to see the collection because you are considering buying a Coach for a gift for your sisters birthday (even if you don't have one) they won't know that. Then thank her and give her your slip. This way they think you are interested at least. I was uncomfortable to but this worked for me.

I though these were very cute. A nice little freebie for just popping into Coach since I was at the mall already. :)

I am sorry to hear your bad experience in coach.
You should email their corporate. The stores should know their own promotions.
The SA's wrong response to the promotion is hurting the promotion.

Yeah, I would definitely call up or contact Coach in some way to tell them about this terrible treatment you received.

Went yesterday and everything went smoothly. I walked in, showed them the slip and asked to browse the poppy line. A lot of the collection was designed for tweens, but there were a couple pieces that I would love. Both associates at the store were friendly about it and even tried to help my friend get in on the promotion.

I'd report the SA!!! They have no right to treat a customer in this manner! That just burns me up!

I'm a former sales associate for Macy's and Mervyn's and I am an ex Manager that is why it burns me up! I would not tollerate my employee's treating a customer in this way!

Most Coach stores, especially if it is inside a mall, places a sales associate in the front of the store to greet the customers coming in. When I went to redeem my coupon, I made sure I made eye contact with the sales associate in the front of the store. When I reached her I asked her "if she still had this" as I was pulling the coupon out of my Non-Coach bag. She said absolutely and walked me back to the counter, entered the info in the computer and placed the pencil set in a gift bag.
As she was doing all of this, I picked up the new Poppy line catalog sitting at the register and flipped through it. I also asked her if they had the new backpacks that I saw on their website. Of course she said no and I already knew this, but it led her into a conversation to tell me about ordering and free shipping. By creating the conversation and acting like I was an "expert" it seems to her I always shop there and made it a comfortable experience for me.
I'm going to include this one in my neice's stocking - she'll love it - or maybe use it for my Secret Santa at work!

Just an FYI, at the Outlet they sometimes carry their own styles that are Factory Outlet styles only. They do get some of the purses that are from previous seasons at Coach, you just have to do a little research. Normally these bags will not come with dust bags, but my last one did, it had just been sent to the outlet and they are still selling the same purse in Macys & Dillards last time I went. I agree with the Ebay thing, it's very odd people are paying for these pencils. But maybe they don't know they can get them for free or don't have a Coach store around? I dunno. I won't be selling mine!

They do get some of the purses that are from previous seasons at Coach, you just have to do a little research. Normally these bags will not come with dust bags, but my last one did, it had just been sent to the outlet and they are still selling the same purse in Macys & Dillards last time I went. I agree with the Ebay thing, it's very odd people are paying for these pencils. But maybe they don't know they can get them for free or don't have a Coach store around? I dunno. I won't be selling mine!

Another way to know if its a Coach Factory style back is to look at the serial number. The ones made especially for the factory have an F at the end of the serial #.

No, you do not give a different name but just a different address like your work or if you just moved (like I have) and your house has not sold you could put that address too! I have gone to the same store 3 times already and have not had a problem. Also to other people you should get the pin if you just ask. There is nothing wrong with asking:nod: Hope this helps!!

Well...I got pretty lucky because there were new people working everytime I went and they were always nice and NEVER asked me for my id so you should be fine or just go to different stores. Where I live there are two Coach stores that are almost 10 miles apart. Hope this helps:)

P.S Who gives a damn if they recognize you there is no need to worry about what they think of you because chances are you wont ever see them again (hopefully!):lol:

I totally agree! That is one of the bad things about slickdeals. So many people take total advantage of freebies that when someone that didn't get in on it right away wants something,. they get left out in the cold as all the Freebies are gone. Come on people, don't be greedy.

I went to the store yesterday and I do agree, but just in case I got lucky I had printed out three forms for my three girls with there real name and addy. I only did this because I am in Ohio visiting my sister and there is no coach store near me. If my kids would have been with me, then I would have let them do it.

Since I had no idea of where I was going, my sister took me. Before I left, I called the store to see if they had any left, and the sales associate told me that they had plenty

Once I got to the store, I was up front with them and told them what I came in there for. I told them that I was from out of town and that there is not a coach store near me and is there anyway that I could get three for my daughter's who are not with me and to my suprise the lady said "yes' as long as I had the form.

I do feel that everyone should have a chance at getting this deal, but thats just my opinion. Yes, if would be great, if we all, including me get sooo lucky and are able to get as many we can. I do have to say that I will not be going back.


I had no intentions of purchasing anything, but my sister loves coach purses, so I ended spending $10 on some fabric cleaner for her coach purse, which she gave back to me. So, overall my experience in the store went great and they were really nice and that happened as soon as we walked in the store, even when they found out that all I was in there for was the pencils.

yeah, Doonie & Bourke had a giveaway last year where they gave a free coin purse. I was excited about that, but pencils.... not so much.

The pencils were for the new Poppy collection, pretty sure a grown woman wouldn't want flashy childish purses, so I'm guessing the new line is aimed for the tweens and younger age range. In that case, it would make sense for your young daughters to be excited about such a freebie. *shrug* That's my logic anyway.

Compared to previous lines, Poppy has a lower price range, geared towards younger consumers, but probably not that young of age 7 & 8. So that's probably why the store is giving out cutesy pencils that will resonante well with its targeted audience.

I don't think they have more left, but you can call your local coach and ask. Also the coupons you can only get by signing up on the link on the first page, but I do not think all stores or maybe any have this anymore, but you could check to see...
