Figured I'd start one so people can give a heads up for the good surveys or the ones that lead to pts.
I really like MyView. It's one of the companies where I have been able to get the most money in the short time I've been doing surveys.
I can't seem to find a sign up link that's not affiliated with a certain website. I won't post that one as referrals aren't allowed so I guess that'll be your homework if you're interested.
GOOGLE is your friend.
Anybody want to add anything?

Thanks for starting the thread. I have cashed out numerous times myself. I do not seem to qualify for as much as before. I used to do the magazine surveys quite often, but I keep getting kicked out when I do not choose the right people for the cover? I really enjoy taking surveys generally. In fact, it seems more so lately that I seem to spend almost as much time trying to qualify for surveys as I do taking them. I guess this should be included in the total time it takes for the compensation earned. This is not just limited to MV.

Same here..very strange! I am glad its not just me. They only approved July surveys up to about the 18th. Any surveys after July 18th are still waiting to be approved.
I cashed it out anyways too..lets see how long it takes since they "updated" the portal- which by the way is still basically the same as before- no improvements.

Generally, I enjoy myview and have cashed out several times. It is a trustworthy site. I do not like their new "easier" survey system. You can no longer pick from a list of surveys to complete. You must try to complete one survey before you are offered anything else. I would rather pick and choose from a list of available surveys. I also get tired of filling in my info for the drawing over and over if I do not qualify. They said that the new system is easier? How is the new survey center any easier? Maybe I am missing something?

Yup, I hate not having a list like before and having to put in my info over and over again.
I think I'm going to send an e-mail with some feedback and maybe if enough of us do it, they'll actually change it.

Hate the new site.
Also running into a whole lot of problems with the links that they put in the messages.
Can't open them in IE 6.0. Just sits there and freezes.
When I try to open them in Firefox 3.5, it takes me to the MyView sign on screen and tells me that I have no surveys available.
Another lost opportunity for a $5 IT survey.
Frustrating as hell.

Is anybody having trouble logging into the MyView Portal? I keep trying to log in and it tells me either username or password are incorrect, so I clicked to reset password. It sent me an email to reset password, but it still won't let me log in even with the new password. I was able to log into my Rewards statment and I have a $14.00 credit, so I know my account is still active. I've written their customer service twice and they just keep sending me a generic email on how to reset my password. IT'S NOT WORKING!! Arrrgh.
Anyone know what's wrong or how to fix it? Thanks.

We have great news. The MyView Rewards Program will be getting a makeover at the beginning of 2010! We are revamping the system to enable you to earn MORE REWARDS, FASTER! The benefits of the new program include:
Cash out your rewards on or before December 27, 2009 to take advantage of our PayPal option, or wait until the new year for a Prepaid Visa Card. Stay tuned for additional details as we get closer to unveiling the new and improved MyRewards Center!
I just got this email. There was also a box that I couldn't copy the text from. It basically said that now you'll get paid for DNQs (probably a dime, like ClearVoice) and they will not pay via Paypal anymore. Pay will come via a prepaid VISA card.

Since I've never "won" anything from them and certainly DQ on more than what I've won, any incentive would be good for the DQ's.
The "fee-free" prepaid VISA cards don't sound all that bad as long as it doesn't take forever to receive them. Paypal has been credited anywhere from one day to one month processing from my experience.
No mention of the minimum payout in 2010 so hopefully the same and NOT any more.

I don't *mind* prepaid cards, but I much prefer Paypal or a paper check. I buy everything via credit card in order to benefit from the rewards. The prepaid cards force me to buy things without earning points or cash back for my purchase.

The problem with the Visa cards is the issue I mentioned above. Most of us aren't losing fees to Paypal, but we ARE losing cashback if we have to use these prepaid cards instead of our own cards which offer perks.

Not only that but if you get a $5 prepaid card and purchase something for $4.70 it's difficult to get the other .30 cents. Now $5 cash is $5 cash and much easier to use. You lose money in the end to be honest. And what's funny about this is that the pay is going to get lower. Instead of either getting a dollar amount OR a sweepstakes entry, you're going to be paid pennies for 10 and 15 minute surveys.
They already have that "complete 25% of the survey before you get a screen out" asking you to enter information TWICE(because you never qualify for the first respondent pool in most cases). Which only makes me want to scale back my activity with them more now than before. Like I said before, I dont mind with companies like Synovate and SurveySpot so much because you get PTs, Invokes, etc. so it's fine. But companies like this that rarely offer any of that will decline into the gutter

I did not know that they are now going to pay much less for surveys now. Is this true or just your assumption? (you could be right) :) I would prefer cash also, but if the surveys pay about the same going forward or even slightly less, it seems that it is a good trade off to get a visa card. I like the idea of no sweepstakes and to get a small token pay for my efforts. Maybe they are switching to no sweepstakes because of complaints and that many people generally avoid these surveys.
I would prefer getting rewards with a credit card also, but the rewards are pretty small anyway, and personally I am not that concerned about it. Instead, I am more interested in getting paid better/fairer/more consistently for my survey taking time with all of the above considerations. Most likely, you would be cashing out at $25.00 for a card, which would not be too hard to use.:)
I wonder why the are switching to pre paid cards instead of Paypal?
Hopefully the rewards will be better overall, and I guess time will tell.

Exactly. Some of the companies handle this fairly, but most do not. A lot of them charge you 550 or 575 points for a $5 item, 1100 points for a $10 item, etc. They understand that most people will see a survey for 300 points and automatically convert it to $3 in their head.
The worst companies of all are the ones with the oddball points systems. Some require 10,000 points for $10. They know that they can offer a 1,000 point survey ($1) and many people will mentally equate it to $10 and think it's a great deal. Other companies use a system where 50 points = $5, but they offer 20 minute surveys for 6 points knowing that many people won't take the time to do the math.
Some companies still pay well under point systems (ViewPoint, MySurvey, and a few others), but most do not.

Opinion Outpost has the best points system. And as of late (aside from OTX surveys) as long as I keep two OO windows open, one members area and one with the actual survey my points credit instantly rather than saying "Pending" for a week before crediting or changing to quota met/closed/not a match. Plus I have been getting a lot of good PTs from them in the last few weeks.
I still cannot sign into MyView and they have been no help, they just keep telling me to reset my password and make sure I am signing into the right area even though I have told them that I have done both more than a half dozen times.

Funny you bring up OO. They are normally one of my favorites, but in the past three weeks or so they've sent me 99% crap. All I get are 20 minute surveys for 20 points, which I refuse to do. I haven't received notifications for ANY of the recent PTs. I think I'm going to re-do my grocery and personal care profiles with them (if possible). Maybe it expired and that's why I'm not getting anything good.
As for MyView, it seems that I can log in about 50% of the time. The rest of the time (normally at night) I can't get in at all, even if I try to reset the PW.

2 My View dollars= $2 cash. The only problem is it takes month for the pending dollars to be credited to your balance and you have to have at least $25 to cash out. I've had enough to cash out with for 2 months now, if all of my pending credits ever get applied.

No more PayPal TM
You told us that you are not happy with PayPal, so we are making the shift to Prepaid Visa Cards. You will be issued a Virtual Prepaid Visa Card that is sent via email and valid for online purchases. If after receiving the Virtual Prepaid Visa Card, you would like to receive a Physical Prepaid Visa Card, just follow the directions included in the email and it will be sent via mail. Please allow an additional 5 -7 days for your Physical Prepaid Visa Card to be processed. Have the freedom to buy what you want, when you want, everywhere Visa is accepted.
Points will be credited immediately
Tired of having to wait for your points to be approved? You earned the points and you deserve to get them right away. Points will now be immediately credited to your MyRewards account. There could be an occasional delay if we have a technical issue but we'll work out the kinks quickly if so - our goal is for this to be immediate every day and for every point!

I'm not real thrilled about the change from Paypal to VISA, either. But my reason is because I take the Paypal money and put it on a credit card IN ADDITION to my regular payment to help me pay off my debt. But I suppose I can put the VISA bill toward the phone or cable bill, too. It's still free money, so I'm not going to complain too loudly becuase I am gratefuly for any way that helps me to make ends meet right now.

I did this with lightspeed awhile back and both the cc that i registered were cancelled by my credit card and they issued me new ones and said it was due to a security breach. they were 2 different credit card companies so I wouldn't do anything through them.

It probably is not a good idea. The more places that have your CC number, bank account number etc, the more you open yourself up to potential problems. Was the security breach because of this program at lightspeed?

Maybe it is a virus or a browser redirect? I guess I better scan my PC! Overall, I have been during online surveys for close to 10 years, and I guess these days there are so many people doing them that the payouts really have decreased. I assume that they do not have to pay as much, as they must have no trouble getting people to take them these days with little or no compensation. It's becoming not worth it. Too many problems and too much effort for the payout. I am not ready to give up, but it's getting closer- The number of survey sites that I work with becomes less and less.....

Yes, that is what I figured too. Maybe they think that some people will not do the math? I would think that as time goes on, more and more people will not be willing to spend so much time for next to nothing! Maybe the compensation will increase later down the road and hopefully the pendulum will swing back if people just stop taking many of the surveys. I have enjoyed taking surveys, etc for about a decade, but not at these prices- 64 cents???? Even 2 dollars is not all that great for 25 minutes. :(
Unless a fair amount of surveys pay more than this, I am going to cash out (about two thirds there) and take a breather from myview.

Yes, that is what I figured too. Maybe they think that some people will not do the math?....
Survey companies are well aware that most people cannot do math. This is obvious given the success of companies like zoompanel, lightspeed and harrispoll...who have fleeced survey takers for years who cannot be bothered to figure out the 75 point, 40 minute survey they just took was worth about 63 cents. Once the point to dollar conversion is not a factor of ten, the company has just outsmarted 95% of the country. This trend will continue to worsen as more and more companies catch on.
Can't blame them really, so many people value their time at nothing or next-to-nothing, so why should they pay more?

we may as well get used to the fact that alot of these companies are going to offer less for completing surveys . i dont do the freebies and usually dont do the lesser ones unless im bored to death or have a hunch they may turn into a PT

I think your estimates are a kind of high, that 95% of the country would be outsmarted. It is a sad state of affairs if that were really true. Some people cannot do the math, but I do not think that it is most people, as it is just simple math. It may be more of a case that people are not willing to do the math or do not care, they are just working toward a reward. (even if it is very slow going)
More and more people are willing to work/take surveys etc for whatever they can get paid for in this economy, especially if you are really up against it. Some people just enjoy the pastime in itself. Just think of all of the people that play video games for hours. Some would rather take surveys and earn a little extra cash. Hopefully pay out levels will not stay this way or worsen.

Some of the same surveys that I used to do are now only pay $1.00/1400 pts. (1400 points= $1.00) These same surveys used to pay 2 or 3 dollars. It seems that you get less now for taking surveys, since they are now paying people a small token if you do not qualify. I guess the money had to come from somewhere to pay the points to people when they do not qualify! Things are really changing in survey land! I cannot justify spending 15 minutes or more for just a dollar. I just now got a survey for 15 minutes which pays, get this- about 40 cents. I never expected to get rich, but it's just too slow going and too much work anymore to earn decent survey rewards.

Thanks and repped. . You will lose your points with the new system because the points do expire after inactivity. A friend of mine did not have her dollars converted to points. My view first said that there was no record of any surveys and now they are saying that since she was inactive for more than 90 days they have expired! I enjoy taking surveys, but not for 36 cents for 18 minutes minutes of my time.

The e mails must go out at different times and the survey's must be all filled, since anyone can log in to take an available survey with or without an e mail. Other panelists have either received the e mail earlier or people have logged in to see if they can find any open surveys and it has become filled quickly.
That's why I usually do not pay much attention to the e mails, they are usually worthless. They just end up frustrating people.
Another thing that bugs me is that it says MYVIEW cares about Haiti. I guess they care enough as long as the panelists are making the donation out of their points. There is no mention that they as a company are giving any donations? With things like this and among other things, you wonder who is "minding the store" over there? Do they think about these things?

I'm really sick of all of these companies and organizations trying to get people to donate money for Haiti through them. Why, so they can use it has a tax write off? I'd prefer to give my money directly to the charity (Red Cross, etc.) instead of going through a 3rd party, so I know where it's going. That's a pet peeve of mine.

I agree with your theory. This always seems to happen with the higher paying surveys...I think GF used to do this once in a while also. I understand the other logic that the higher paying surveys fill up faster, emails are sent at different times...however, I am not buying it. I rarely give the survey company the benfit of the doubt in these matters, they know how to work us.

Me too, another thing is that all of these places that say that they are going to donate x amount based on every time somebody buys or does something is ridiculous. These companies are planning on donating anyway. No need to buy the stuff unless you were planning on it.

Isn't that what Toluna is doing?
I have one friend in IT who gets surveys from them and some pay 7000 points or more. However, about a week ago she told me that they started been getting really 'personal' in some of the surveys that breaches on confidentiality. She couldn't tell if it was myview or one of the partners they use, but she took offense to them asking her for her work email, work phone number, even though they claim it would be kept confidential and this after she just finished filling out a long 45 minute survey. I think it was called Sigma something or rather she said.

Oh, and to future prepaid Visa reward redeemers, wait till your reward is processed (check your Myview account rewards summary day to day...it might take 7 days or more, since the status for that reward will go from PROCESSING to PROCESSED). Then if you don't receive an email on how to access your prepaid VISA, do the following:
1. Go to https://virtual.swiftprepaid.com/
2. enter in your myview ID/email address
3. enter the transaction ID of your Myview reward (it can be found in the confirmation reward email sent by Myview, or in your Reward History at Myview)

Is there a way to request a physical Visa gift card from them? I thought they announced you'd be able to do that, but I've not heard anything more about it from anyone here. $25 virtual gift card is hard to use online, since you have to place an order for exactly $25 or less for it to go through.
I just requested payment of $25 gc yesterday.

You can use it just like a prepaid debit card. When you log into the virtual card site it will explain how you can use it. As far as I know, there is no way you can get a physical card from the company. So your virtual card can only be used for online or phone orders.

Anyone else having problems receiving their pre-paid VISA? Redeemed on April 30th. Site says you'll receive reward in 3 days. After 7 days didn't receive reward so I emailed. Was told on Monday it would be another 5-7 days. This is ridicules. Then why does their site say 3 days???
But it does look like they've expanded their rewards selection to include iTunes, Sears and Kohl's gc.
Does anyone even bother with MyView anymore?

Very easy to use. When you are ready to enter payment information on Amazon, you would then enter your pre-paid visa details as if you were paying with a regular credit card.

Also, pay attention to the expiration date on these. My first and only Visa card had a "shelf life" of three months. Use it before it expires. ;)

I sent them an email and they told me that it was processed but i would need to wait an additonal 4-5 days. Its never taken this long. I always get my virtual card within a few days.

I just go to walmart.com and buy a $25 walmart g.c. and they ship it to me for free. You can do that on a lot of merchant sites. It's easier to use that way. Or go to amazon and buy $25 amazon g.c. if that is what you want.

Well I had contacted Myview and at first they said that they could not credit me the entire points for the survey 11,000 and only would credit me the 125 points for pre-qualifying.
To my surprise, I get an email from them today and I check my account and they decided to credit me the full 11,000 points for the survey afterall. They must have checked their records to see that I did complete the entire survey prior to the technical error and agreed to credit me for the points.

I don't get invites as often fromthem but that may be because I'll hut the site a couple times during the day to see if anything is there. Try updating your info/profile even if you don't change anything, just open, click and unclick a couple buttons and resubmit. See if maybe that doesn't help get you back in the mix.

I would suggest giving it a couple days. Last time I went to cash out I noticed that the Amazon gift card was gone but a couple days later they were back. With any luck, the same will happen with the Visa card. I noticed that they changed the provider on their cards at the end of the year last year. Maybe it's just an issue with the new provider.

I just discovered that my prepaid visa just expired that I earned from MYVIEW. I have to take responsibility and I guess you have to check/read EVERYTHING. It says that it is good for 4 months, but it should say UP TO 4 months. The month you get the prepaid visa counts as one full month, even if you get it towards the end of the month. I imagine that I am just SOL, I cannot imagine that myview would replace it and VISA would not replace it either. It's upsetting that companies like VISA profit from and are full of greed, if somebody makes a mistake or does not understand something. It was misleading that it says 4 months. Nowhere in the email that I got with the reward mentions the expiration date as a head up. Has anybody ever had the card replaced due a similar issue like this?
It's reasons like this that I think that I am about done with surveys in general. It was nice while it lasted over the last decade that I was doing them. It no longer seems worth my time for such little reward and too much aggravation. I was also kicked out of Pinecone after 10 years of loyal service :(
Thanks! for any suggestions!

I had a prepaid card that didn't expire but what I won on it from one of the Coke instant wins was pretty much eaten up by monthly fees because I lost the card and didn't find it until a few months later when furniture was getting moved around here. It really sucks and make me weary of any of those prepaid cards.

It says that it is good for 4 months, but it should say UP TO 4 months. The month you get the prepaid visa counts as one full month, even if you get it towards the end of the month. !
I have had 5 of these cards from MyView and every one of them has an expiration date. I can understand the frustration but claiming that you did not know seems a bit strange since you have to enter that expiration date anytime you use it.
I made it simple though. I apply them immediately to my cell phone bill since I can pay it online with a credit card. I don't have to worry about the card expiring before I use it and it's just a little more of "my" money that I get to keep.
Try changing the expiration date wen you enter the card though. Most companies no longer use that as a verification item.
I had a prepaid card that didn't expire but what I won on it from one of the Coke instant wins was pretty much eaten up by monthly fees because I lost the card and didn't find it until a few months later when furniture was getting moved around here. It really sucks and make me weary of any of those prepaid cards.
I don't know about others but can tell you that on the ones that MyView issues, they don't have monthly fees. (I had issues with the one issued via VIP thru Toluna because if the company your were trying to charge with did a $1 authorization charge, when they released it, it did not recredit to the card.

Thanks for the help! I was sent a virtual card, and it was my first one. I have never used it before, so I never entered any dates. I know that debit cards have expiration dates, but I never ran into one that expires in less than four months after you get it. The card shown in the email with my reward confirm code shows an example of a card with an expiration date of 12/12. I wonder if there are any places maybe where I could buy a gift card or something quick. Maybe I could change the date and see what happens. I did not know that it would still possibly work? After all, it is my money!!!
Thanks again for your help!!

Try amazon, giftcardmall.com. or just go straight to your favorite stores website. :)

Did anyone get the survey Friday about doing a focus group this morning? It was for a 50.00 GC. I never got the instructions and mine was supposed to be at 9am.

Seems like their VISA card options have dwindled. They only have $25 cards right now, do people see them come and go normally? Is it being phased out?

They always come and go. Soon after they run out the Amazon will do the same and then about a week later they will both be replenished.

Good to know, I've never seen the higher end VISA amounts disappear before. I'll keep an eye out then. Thanks.

Seems that VISA has disappeared from the options. Anyone else seen that? I've never seen something disappear and return like this...what do you all think?
Maybe it's gone because there are none left at all? I'll have to check back tomorrow at the start of a new month and we'll see what they have.

didn't you just ask the same question a few days ago and have this exact conversation? read the posts before you

Nah, if YOU read the posts as you suggested I did. You'd see that I was discussing the higher VISA amounts disappearing from MyView Rewards. Not VISA disappearing entirely, which is what I noticed this morning.

Visa cards are back. You just have to be patient sometimes. They run out, they are replenished.

thanks - have you had any higher paying ones, or ones that lead to product tests, discussion boards, that type of thing?

Not for awhile but I had had a couple lead to a discussion board in the past. Most of my surveys are 1500 points but short like 10 minutes
I have a question about MyView rewards. I am wondering if anyone has ever cashed out from MyView with a $50 Amazon GC? Every time I look I can only find $15 & $25 Amazon GC's. We all know that you get the best for your points with a $50 Amazon GC over and above a $15 or $25 Amazon GC. I can find other GC's at the $50 price point, but not for Amazon. That is not making me a very happy camper. I did email MyView, but I'm guessing I'll get a faster answer from SD.
Thanks.

I just logged into mine and the amazon and visa were both gone too. Last I cashed out (about a month ago) both were there, and now they are not.

I tried cashing out on Sunday and discovered the same
At least I wasn't the only one who made that discovery, otherwise I'd be feeling special right now
The funny part was that they gave me one of those stupid feedback surveys about how Myview can improve themselves. They even asked me about how I liked cashing out for Amazon gift cards. :lmao:
You can only guess the level of profanity I used :lmao:

As people told me in earlier posts. Just keep checking back, they'll restock what you're trying to redeem. I didn't understand it either, but it'll be back.

Does anyone remember how many points the higher denomination Visa cards are? I'm trying to decide if I should go for a few B&N cards now or wait until they finally restock the Visas for a better deal.
And how long does it usually take to get the reward card? I imagine a Visa would be pretty quick since they're electronic, I think, and maybe B&N takes longer if it's a physical card. Of course, some places take a month to send an electronic payment, so who knows.

I remember something like 66500 for $50 (or close to that number) and 93000 (or so) for $75.
Pretty sure I had them within a day when I've ordered.

Thanks. Sounds like it would be better to wait until they restock the Visas. Hopefully early December at the latest.
