They probably check the IP other accounts linked to that it, and if those accounts also entered then they're disqualified.

I bought a new HP Desktop in March - it's AWESOME - does almost everything I want in a desktop. All I need to add is a Blueray reader/writer. Now if the price of Blueray discs would come down.......
