I was just wondering, is there a maximum rep points amount that you can get each day?

Sometimes it seems like I see 8 people say "rep for you" and yet I only get 4 or 5.

there is no max you can get in one day. YOu are probably referring to noobs who gives rep pt but don't count. If you go into your "User CP" you'll see that some rep points are shaded gray and some shaded green. It is the gray ones that don't count. This is in place to keep people from signing up multiple users names just to hand out rep pts. You have to have a certain amount of post before rep points are green. So when I see a noob who writes "rep for you", I always think "yeah, yeah, yeah, whatever". The thought is there tho'. Hope this helps.
