Did several searches, and didn't see this posted:

The Taco Bell Truck is on a nationwide tour, and may be coming to your town to hand out FREE Tacos (while supplies last). They also usually hand out some other freebies, like Volcano Taco hats and sometimes free burritos (YMMV...it varies from city to city exactly what other free items they hand out, and of course, it's all while supplies last).

Current Dates Listed (but there will be more cities added):
Denver 7/22
Grand Junction 7/24 - will be parked at Canyon View Park for the tennis tournament
Las Vegas 7/26 - 7/27
Los Angeles 7/29 - 8/3

Past Stops:
St. Louis - 7/10 - 7/14 - parked in the Sponsor Zone outside Busch Stadium (Clark & Broadway)
Oklahoma City - 7/16 - 7/17

You can go to their twitter page for more info, and to request they make a stop in your city. They're going to be on the East Coast in Early September, and will be coming to Philadelphia and Baltimore at that time. But they're still looking for other East Coast cities, so tweet them if you want them to stop in your city.

I went and viewed the above link..it's a fake! Dang it just when i was getting the cravings for tacos and buritos!

I'm the OP of this post, and the Taco Bell Truck is very REAL. The article's author says the Taco Bell Truck is fake based on:

1) She called Taco Bell Customer Service and they didn't know anything about it. So what. Customer Service reps don't know about a lot of promotions that go on at a company. It's so true that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

2) She said there was nothing about it on Taco Bell's website. True, there isn't. But a lot of companies are doing promotions nowadays just on Twitter and Facebook. It's called "viral marketing", and apparently some people are too stupid to have ever heard of it.

3) She claims there are no pictures posted of the Taco Bell Truck handing out free tacos. WRONG!!! See the link in the post above. There are lots of pics from each stop, and they post new pics at each stop. Here's a pic of them handing out free Volcano Taco hats this weekend in St. Louis: http://twitpic.com/a20d0

It's real - I live in St. Louis they are giving away 40,000 tacos according to the news.
