The News: Capcom has announced that Marvel vs Capcom 2 will be hitting the PlayStation Network on August 13, for $15. The price is comparable to the Xbox Live Arcade version, but the date certainly isn't; it's coming two weeks after XBLA players get to throw down on July 29.
Our Take: When Capcom announced the XBLA date, we speculated that the PSN version would hit near it, or possibly even first seeing as the company gave Sony an exclusive demo. How wrong we were. The reasons for the long gap between releases is unknown, so we'll keep you informed if we hear word from Capcom.

Meh, Even if xbox live gets it first, I'd probably only buy the ps3 version. I'm just used to using d-pad more for fighting games.

bingo, the 360 dpad just makes me rather rub my thumb over 300grit sandpaper, same effect and performance.

Well having joined to take advantage of the Amazon 50% off coupon code this caught my eye. I had no idea the Ps3 version was delayed. I was really looking forward to it because that way I could use my PS3 street Fighter 4 TE fight stick, which is still half price on Amazon. Now do I wait an extra 2 weeks or get the 360 version 2 weeks early?

So, is the "rumor" of a physical hard copy PS3 BD disc for $20 is legit or not? To me, I prefer to get a hard copy than a digital one since I am planning to upgrade my HDD when the size and price is under my budget.

the only reason it's delayed is to coincide with the exclusive retail copy which already had an Aug. 13th date.
The retail version jusr contains a code to redeem the game, but also has a disc with art and wallpapers. they also provide access to marvel's digital comics. it's 19.99 which is 5.00 more than the psn version
I too wished the game came on the disc

there wont be a physical hard copy, the version sold in stores comes with a download code but no disc.

Does it matter? The game is still coming...and remember, EVO this year picked PS3 as the official platform for its tournaments....meaning that the PS3's reliability and extremely low failure rate, plus more compatibility with arcade sticks and game pads, has finally established the PS3 as the ONLY console for fighting game enthusiasts.

Meh, I couldn't care less about what EVO players think. Free online + PSN share makes my decision easy.

There is no DL limit, there is an activation limit. If he is using the same PS3, it won't be a problem.
And I have a couple of SF4 fightsticks to use but yea the 360 dpad is pathetic.

*sigh* it would seem that the ruby heart glitch is still in existence but the gambit where he flies out of the screen and becomes untouchable has been fixed according to giant bomb. I'm very much concerned about the black heart infinite since it never scaled down and there was no way out of it short of decking the guy who was doing it.
