Still haven't been paid for the $150 Workers' Compensation 90 minute phone interview. They keep saying that the check is going out "today." I wait, call back, and am told that the client just submitted payment and the check is going out in the mail today.

What's up with these companies? Their clients are paying a fair fee for their services. Why do they feel the need to treat the people who make their business possible without respect?
