I received a check for $10 from Bowen Research - Hugh Bowen. It says I was 1 of 100 winners for the Web War Study. Anyone know what this is from? I searched and can't seem to find anything.

I did a survey for Bowen sometime back. It was about cell phones. Maybe that was what the check was for. I have not been paid and can't remember how much it was for.

if you deposit the check into your account you would get charged if the check bounced, if you flat out cash it..it is the researchers responsibility to pay the fee.

Maybe the joke was seriously misinterpreted but that kind of negative reaction really isn't necessary. This is the internet, people make jokes all the time - given your stats you should be more than aware of this.
