I was having huge ammo problems with my Siren early on but I kinda cheated. I LAN'd my SIren with my Soldier and had my soldier drop a bunch of weapons in playthrough 2. Picked them up with my Siren and sold them and bought the Orange SMG ammo capacity upgrade on my low level Siren.

I haven't had ammo probs w/my siren since about level 17 or so I think. I got a 2 shot revolver w/ammo regen and a toxic revolver for burning ppl down. I'll use SMG/sniper every now and then, but always pick up more than enough to fill up by the next time I want to use it.

I have a question about the DLC (on steam). I bought the first 3 DLC. I see moxxi and zombies in my CD keys, but not knoxx. On my profile page, it says that I have the knoxx DLC, but I can't seem to get to it...

Anyone run into this/know how to do this??

Thanks for the tips guys. Having never played the game some of the facts are lost on me, but my friend has a soldier & i'll probally just go with that for the time being. The Sniper does intrigue me though.

So I caved and bought the claptrap whatever DLC. Some of the one liners in the game are just too funny. Has anyone maxed all the weapon proficiencies? It seems rather... grindy.

Is T-Bone Junction on your list of locations to fast travel to? That is the location for the Knoxx DLC.

Yeah at least find a gun you can switch to for ammo regen in between killing things. I do that with some of the handguns while I am blatantly leveling proficiency in weapons.

so online play (psn) isn't buggy or glitchy as it was in release?

I just started playing online with my level 58 soldier and was playing with a level 28 and level 30. All the bad guys i was killing with no issue but getting like 1-2 xp.


I was almost killing the NPC's and letting them finish the NPC's off because i thought they might get more XP for doing it. How does XP get shared among players on Borderlands and is it best for me to open the red chests so that the weapons are higher level and better for the people on my team ( when they are much lower levels)

For the rest IIRC,

If you are a dramatically higher level than the enemies, you will get less experience upon killing them. If they get the final kill, *they* get more exp, but you don't necessarily. Opening chests is dependent upon the person opening it, yes. They will be shedding weapons fairly quickly around level 30 anyhow, so it doesn't matter too much who opens the chest. The only thing that would really help is if you are a scavenger or siren and get the + team find rare item mod on your class mod.

Yeah if you are getting spanked just leave and do another quest. Kind of tough when you hit the Skag-zilla mission though since there is no exit :evil:

To change your current mission press select, go to the map tab, highlight the new mission and press X or whatever selects it. The missions also tell you how tough they are relative to your skills.

SkagZilla is exactly why I asked... I found out there was no exit the hard way 13 times over

We probably spent 3-4 lives on him.. and when his health didn't drop AT ALL... we called it a day :D

:roll: Yeah when I read your post that was my first thought.

The first play through I did with the siren and ran dangerously low on ammo. And I had some pretty weak guns. On this play through I have an ammo regen mod on my soldier so things went much better. It was also nice to throw down a turret that skag-zilla messed with while I healed a bit ;)

I dont really remember... What classes are you guys? I think 19 or 20 sounds about right. I think the key is to have a pretty decent gun or two and get all the ammo mods you can and load up on ammo before you go in. I dont think Elemental does much damage. A good MG that does ~100 damage should get you by.

Just wait until you level up enough so that a mission is trivial before you do it. There are plenty of missions that you shouldn't really ever have to do one that isn't trivial.

Haven't even seen a SMG that does 100 yet.. highest SMG's we've seen so far have been in the mid 50's with elemental dmg.

I was reading another site about where to farm better weps, so we might do that tonight for a bit.. all of the really good weps we've found so far are lvl 22+ :sadwalk:

I'm the little assassin chick. Shoot him in the mouth to actually do damage to him... and then when he gets to close, I cloak and gtfo. Then I uncloak, fire at his mouth while he's charging, rinse/repeat.

And cloak!? There's a lot I need to learn about this game :scratch:... I'm guessing thats one of her powers? I'm the solider and rock the turret (5 pts maxed out in that, then 4 more pts in additional bullets)

Yep. That's her main power, just like turret is yours.

So me and my buddy are playin co-op here and there. We're both lvl 30, he's Mordecai, I'm Brick..

Question.. when and where will I (Brick) get some better guns? I have some decent shotguns (49ish AP, with x3 or x4 elemental, 6 shot) and 1 or 2 AR's that have above 100 AP, but neither have elemental on them, and a decent SMG..... I dont have a single wep equipped that is higher than lvl 25.

What I'm wondering is, when we're gonna get to the lvl 30 weps, and where they are. I want a AR above 100 attack power w/ elemental on it. He has some bad ass revolvers & snipers, but I'm definitely laggin in the gun power department.

Honestly the one place I ever got any decent drops was by doing chest runs in random areas like Crimson Fastness or The Knoxx Armory bug. I think they fixed that one though. I think chests cater to you level, so just keep opening the red ones over and over until you find something. New Haven was pretty ok for that, and I don't remember if you are that far at level 30.

Yea I've been in New Haven since lvl 20 or so I think.. and the best weps we've found seem to come from the green skag piles, but obviously we always hit up the wep chests. We'll keep at them I guess for now. We haven't hit Crimson Fastness or the Armory yet.. still finishing up some level 25-27 quests, so hopefully once we start getting those higher lvl quests in other areas, we'll find the higher lvl guns..

I found a lot of good guns in the armory. I also think a second playthrough helps though to improve guns as well.

We beat the game (first part anyway) and are both level 40. Already beat Zombie island and Ned, so think i'll start playthrough 2 today and hope for some diesel guns by the time we get to the end again :pray:

Soloed around lvl 20 with the hunter. Run around and release bird. I thought he was ez. Zombie Ned was disappointing. I'm thinking about buying the GOY PSN edition since I only have ned as the DLC. And since I still have the PS+ from the freebie time I might just buy it for 15 bucks.

The DLC is cool and worth it IMO.. I played a few of them on my buddy's 360.


Here's an issue I'm now having: I have the 4gb 360, and configured a 16gb flash drive yesterday, with the plan to install the DLC disc onto that drive so I can play DLC on my 360 too. Well it turns out I can't, and I need a legit MS hard drive. I get a message like "You need a hard drive in order to play this disc" or something like that.

So in reading about it, some ppl are saying I can copy the DLC from my friend's 360, onto my drive, then run the DLC from my drive on my 360? Can anyone confirm that?

Also, how do I copy the DLC from his 360? I'm assuming in System Settings -> Memory -> (not sure where the DLC would be from here)

I enjoyed most of the content. The two that piss me off the most are Moxxie's Underdome (the only reason to get it is for the storage chest) and the new Claptrap DLC. It just seemed so, uninspired compared to the rest. Maybe I missed a hidden boss or something? The final boss for that one is just boring.

I only need 3 more achievements to have all 1750 for Borderlands and they're all from the Claptrap Revolution one. I just don't have the desire to go back and farm for all the stupid stuff they want you to collect.

Also, the General Knoxx DLC was the best IMO, but I had a lot of fun with Dr. Ned too.

No suggestions on my 4gb 360 DLC issue? :sadwalk:

Yes you can, but I don't think Zombie Island ups the difficulty of the enemies, but maybe they've changed it. I know when I played Knoxx the second time, the enemies were significantly tougher.

There is a copy option, but I'm not sure how it works with the thumb drives and stuff.
