I noticed that this fourm is very active and that the threads get buried very quickly.
I was wondering how old the last post of a thread needs to be before you would
not consider replying to it?
Also wondering about the other fourms on SD like hot deals.

As a mod, I can reply to any thread. Not so with mere mortals. :celerylift:

It all depends on the subject of the thread and what the bumper has to add. Many old thread bumps are done for a lame reason but there are some bumps that are appropriate.

If someone starts a thread asking which car/computer/jewelry/whatever to buy, and its already been bought, its probably too late.

I tried one once, that told me it was over a hundred days old and I could not post...I don't always think to look at the dates.

I want to say 24 hours, but that is also yesterday, so I don't know how to vote. :annoyed:

Yesterday would mean someone does not bother to check the time and would
not reply to a post that has a date on it rather then 'Today' or 'Yesterday'.
So at 12am it's the same but at 11pm 'Yesterday' would be up to 47 hours.

I would say after a couple days - unless it's a updated coupon or deal.

:iagree: Folks that bump threads over a week old should be spanked by the cheerleading squad of their choice :whistlin:

If that were the case, poor Autumn's bum would be most painful.
I don't reply to threads that have gone more than 24 hours since the last post.
