I've looked in the Time & Date settings hoping to find a way to use the 24h format yet couldn't see any option for it.
Is there a possibility to turn this feature on? It's kind of confusing for those not using the AM/PM time format to not have this feature.
Thank you!

do you want to change pm/am to military time for example 22:50 or is it the other way around?
never the less you can try this:
Set the Windows XP Clock to or from Military Time
1. Click "My Computer"
2. Open the Control Panel
3. Select Time Options
3a. Classic View: Open Reginal and Language Options.
3b. Category View: Date, Time, Language and Regional Options.
4. Click "Change the format of numbers, dates, and times".
5. Select the "Regional Options" tab.
6. Next to the box that shows your selected language click "Customize".
7. Click the "Time" tab.
8. In the "Time Format" box enter:
8a. Standard Format: "h:mm:ss:tt"
8b. Military Format: "HH:mm:ss"
hope this helps

Thank you, Victor, that is one of the best step by step instruction I've seen, but... sorry I was so vague, I meant for the SD forum and the way it displays the time of posts, for example my original post is shown as "09-11-2009 10:50 PM", I'd like to have it as "09-11-2009 22:50". Is there a way to change how time is shown on SD?

Unfortunately, it is not a user preference option so no.
