Free Zoo Day is back! Did you know the Houston Zoo offers free zoo admission five days each year? Well, one of those holidays is around the corner. Monday, October 12, the Houston Zoo offers free admission for Columbus Day (http://www.houstonzoo.org/plan/). Hours are 9 a.m. - 7 p.m. Other free calendar days are Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Friday after Thanksgiving, and New Year’s Day. Just a warning that parking and traffic can get a bit crazy on free days, but it’s still free! Houston Zoo, 6200 Golf Course Drive, adjacent to the Texas Medical Center and Museum District.
