Yep, it's our favorite time of the year again. Looks like Sears is going to be the leader again this year. Over 599 doorbusters:eek: (I'll let someone else add them up). As always, enjoy.:)

Doorbusters in the first part. Two day sale in the second.

All in one

Looks like you can get an extra 10% off or 18 months no interest if you use your Sears card making it $1440 if you took the 10%.

I don't see them claiming "exclusive" though like last year, so that's fine, but the guy on that site is still a complete dick.

If you guys want more ads posted on SD, you should make sure you don't support GD and the asshole that runs the site because he was being a complete ass on SD last year. He keep signing up for accounts thinking he was all great like a self-obsessed ass with a huge ego and posting some bullsh*t about why his site was better etc. Honestly..I wanted to get a couple people and DDoS the guy's site last year since he was being a smug smartass.

Anyway, other than that, it seems fine. Bfads.net is still my favorite alternate BF ad site so if you must use any BF ad site..use them :) the owner is really nice :)

Well, so far I can stay in bed. These are some pretty lukewarm prices for TV's. Everything else just ok.....only standouts for those that need are the top load washer dryer pair for $499, the over the range SS microwave for $179,the kids coats for $12, and [I]maybe[/I ]the steel toed workboots for $35. The down comforters for $20 are also nice if you want to make a guest room or twin kids bed nice. They are only 233 TC though. 400 and I would be at Sears at 4 a.m. 233 I'll probably pass.

Thanks OP for posting, though, I was dying to see the ad. Thanks and repped.

So after review..I might drop by Sears like the day after to pick up that two pack water bottle (as long as it's BPA-free...been meaning to get one for a while now), and everything else is crap/way too high priced for BF. I can't believe have of the stuff are considered "Doorbusters". Am I the only one that things Sears/Kmart should have gone out of business like a LONG time ago? How the heck did they survive beyond CoircuiCity with prices like this?

+3 OP! So far, so lame, though. Sears' prices aren't bringing the wow for me. I'm already feeling a repeat of last year coming on where every consecutive ad becomes more underwhelming than the last until WalMart is finally leaked and (sadly) salvages Black Friday. I'm hoping for the bombshell to be true - legend has it Target will PM Black Friday doorbusters to take a shot at WalMart this year . . . and though unlikely, I timed my 10% Redcard coupon for BF, just in case.

Here's to hoping! :whee:

Dragon Age RPG for only 39.99 one week after release.

Actually, it's coming out 11/3 now. My plan:

1. Buy from Wal-Mart on release day for $60.00.
2. Wait until Black Friday (or after) and buy another copy from Wal-Mart with the Sears BF ad at $40.
3. Return the 2nd copy with the receipt from the first purchase at $60.00.

Pretty much any store with a price match policy will, as long as it's the same exact item.

Still not likely. Most of those stores' policies make a special exception for BF sale prices. It would be worth your while to check ahead of time instead of at 5:00 in the morning on one of the busiest shopping days of the year.

Plus am I bonkers or is it not actually in the list at that link? --NEVERMIND, I see it in the ad scans. Too bad they don't have the LE version in the ad also, but I am supremely interested in Brütal Legend at 39.99.....

I think that the Black Friday sites have learned that there is no such thing as an exclusive advertisement anymore. Back in the olden days (read: 2004-2005), it was possible that if timed correctly, one site could have an advertisement featured for about 12 hours before the other site got wind of it. Now there are hundreds (seriously, hundreds) of Black Friday sites that within minutes of posting, it's going to be parodied all over the internet.

It'll be an "exclusive" for all of 5 minutes before every other site has it.

Looks like a new washer and dryer set for me this year. Gotta look at the specs on it though!!I started researching the Samsung models (high efficiency) models before I noticed the Kenmore High Effeciency. The Samsungs are rated (20) 5-stars, (2) 2- stars, & (2) 1-Stars but some of them are goofy. ONe was mad because the manual recommends a higher amp circuit breaker than what is actually possible to run the machine on ??? I know I'm enraged just like when a graphics card says 500 watts and runs no sweat on a quality 350 watts.
OMG though who the hell is going to pay $189 x (2) to get the Pedistles ...basically a freaking drawer that they sit on COME ON!!

Haven't looked into the Kenmore yet but fairly excited that there are two deals.

stay away from the Kenmore HE3t and HE4t washers...unless you want to spend another $350 on an upgraded circuit board...research the F11 error code...but, there is a way to hack and fix it with some solder and a soldering gun. I don't have the link with me, but I'll try to get it when I'm at home for the DYI fix.

Possible Fail: KDL46S504 would probably equate to KDL46S5100
Possible Fail #2: KDL40S504 would probably equate to KDL40S5100
Possible Fail #3: KDL-32L504 might be KDL-32L5000

They will probably do this to get around from doing price matches. We won't be able to do a price match at Walmart more than likely because it's a totally different model number.

Ok, so I know this is an ongling debate regarding the 30 day price guarantee, but I read through the fine print and didn't see where it says anything about it. Unless I missed it... can anyone see if there is a stipulation that they will not do a price match if they offer something cheaper within 30 days when it comes to BF deals? Specifically, I've been eyeing that Samsung washer/dryer pair, and considered just buying it now and invoking the 30-day lowest price guarantee, but ppl are saying that they generally won't let you... but I don't see where it says no.

I don't see where it says you can't either, yet managers at times like to play the villian so it's definatly ymmv.

is it 499 total for both washer and dryer, or 1000 total for the pair.

We have a hateful store around here and you could forget even trying to get them to give you the price marked when stuff is marked wrong.. much less price matching on black friday (trust me, btdt)...

Sears to have a weekly "Black Friday" event.

Sears took "Christmas creep" one step further Wednesday, pitching its weekly sales as "Black Friday doorbuster" deals before Halloween. (http://slickdeals.net/?sdtid=1628241&u2=http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/10/28/business-specialized-consumer-services-us-early-black-friday_7057482.html)[forbes.com (http://slickdeals.net/?sdtid=1628241&u2=http://www.forbes.com/feeds/ap/2009/10/28/business-specialized-consumer-services-us-early-black-friday_7057482.html)]

Sears spokeswoman Natalie Norris-Howser said the deals will rotate each week. But they'll be available only from 7 a.m. until noon each Saturday. (For the first week of the promotion, Sears will begin the sales this Friday at 5 p.m.)

Among the discounts advertised by Sears are a 302-piece Craftsman mechanic's tool set that's half off, a $400 elliptical machine that typically sells for $700, and $80 diamond earnings that are marked down almost 70 percent.

The following week's specials include a 42-inch Zenith plasma screen TV for $499, about 23 percent off.

4 am!!! WOW im glad i dont work there anymore. just an FYI. Sears will have a "friends and family" sale on a sunday night in november. During this sale i saw prices that were cheaper than black friday prices on many things. now im not talking about the highly visible door buster stuff (washer and dryer, LCD, etc) but on alot of the tools and lawn and garden stuff. I ended up buy alot of my stuff that night instead of on black friday. in most departments you get an additional 10% off from 6-9pm on that sunday night...

You are correct. They have done this for the past few years and I would expect them to do it again. You can get pretty much all of the Two Day Sale items for the same price or cheaper. It's hit and miss on the Doorbusters though.

Uhh, I have NEVER had this happen at Wal-Mart. They will simply look at the ad, then look at their item to make sure it's the exact same thing. They NEVER call other stores to "make sure it's in stock."

$25 for a craftsman angle grinder? Sweet!

If I'm not mistaken, Craftsman electric tools are built by the lowest bidder, like Ryobi and B&D. Not really a good deal since the angle grinder will get hot the first time you use it and the grease that packed the bearings will melt out on the first use.

If it's for light duty work (less than a minute use at a time) or a gift, then $25 is fine.

Get there really early. The doorbuster front load pair last year turned into a fiasco as hardly any stores had them in stock.

On the surface the deal looks sharp 579 for the pair of machines. However I see online they have both for 1300 with the two pedestals included (200 ea) and delivery. Does that include install also? The BF deal says something about not including delivery?

If I add the pedestals for 400 the BF deal goes to about 1000 + deliv and setup? Is this correct. Or will they offer the pedestals as a special price for the two. I think you need them.

Unfortunatley these are pretty lame deals. Hope other stores do better than this. I am looking for a panny tc-p54g10. Which they have for 1549 on BF. I can get it right now through the panny epp website for over $100 less AND with a Blueray player. Come on Sears! won't be going there this year it looks like.

The online listings don't include pedestals. You do not need them for operation of the units.

Some things stand out to me like:
Sharp 19" lcd tv for $180
Panasonic 42S1 $650 (if you want to pick it up B&M this is the lowest it has been)
Panasonic 54G10 (same as above)
New Release video games for $40
Samsung front load washer dryer combo for $1000 (highly rated)

Otherwise some of their prices are not that great or are on items which are specifically made for them and probably compromise on specs. If you look at a lot of the tv's in the top of the ad, you will notice that you cannot find the models anywhere else.

I was hoping they would have some sort of adjustable dumbbells on sale, but they only have the Weider ones for $299, even though they had them on sale last week for $289. So far I will probably not be going to Sears.

My understanding is $1000 total for the pair... but you have to buy both to get that price.
That would be awesome, because it's one of the 2-day deals, so it's not like I'd even have to go out in the craziness of BF to get my price match. I don't think either of the $1000 sets or the other sets either will last more than the first 20 minutes before they are sold out!

I don't see where it says you can't either, yet managers at times like to play the villian so it's definatly ymmv.
so help me with this.
is it 499 total for both washer and dryer, or 1000 total for the pair.
just want to be sure i'm clear on the verbage.Your talking about the set on Page 41 right? It's both for $499... It's about ~$120 less than there frequent of this or similar model.

so how does it work if you bought that 499 set of washer/dryer say a week ahead of time, paid for delivery, set up the delivery date after BF, then come in the day of bf and 'return' the set ad rebuy?
ever worked before?
I want to be sure i'm clear on the verbage, for the washer and dryer front load set it is 499 total for both pairs. or a total of 1000? sorry have never bought a set b4 and really havenn't researched the prices. but i'll start now...

thanksI had ALWAYS thought that most stores allowed PM (for a specific period)...UNLESS they throw in a EXCEPT BF or NO BF etc. riders then you can pre-buy and PM. EDIT: ((But with that thread dedicated to saying NO you can't; looks like my plan to help my folks get a 21st century W&D start at 10PM the night before? - I'm get sick easy I so i might wuss out w/o a S/D buddy))) I'm not saying it's that way at Sears. But it should be easy to find online. Print out a copy & don't open / do anything with the set until you have your PM in hand. Make sure there is No restocking fee and that should make it no risk.

COVERT SUGGESTION: You've got PLENTY of time to implement this. Find your desired store for BF deals. Find out where they get there shirts/uniforms and buy one. Arrive early some morning(s) between now & then and find out how they enter the store (do they need to slide a card, or do they just go in the front doors/back doors etc. Find out the managers name or a regional manager etc. So that you can name drop that (so & so highered you for the holidays but wanted you to get your feet wet running errands).
BF, have civilian cloths underneath. Wait for and quickly get out of your car and walk in with a crowd of workers. If you get that far go hide in the can (bathroom) until it's time to get your loot. Ah fruck it that's too much work!

FAILURE #1: Samsung LN40B500, that was a older model with 2-hdmi ports, discontinued end of 2008.
FAILURE #2: Proscan 40" for $539.99-this is the horrible failed model at best buy with the clicking sound when it's off, and sears thinks this is a deal? it was $499.99 in july.
FAILURE #3: Zenith? omg.. welcome back to 1995.

i feel sorry for the suckers who are gonna get up at 4am to get these deals. Sears: Life well spent changed to Sears: We're lame!

The only thing that wasn't more annoying than your use of the word "FAILURE" was that you didn't use "EPIC FAILURE". What is it with people nowadays? If you don't like the deal then move on. Btw- using all caps is rude, unless that's your way of saying this was more than just a simple Failure.

They do some kind of combination of the two. Last year my sister and I went for the Blu-ray player. We lined up outside before opening near the electronics, and everyone just ambled in, but others were coming from other entrances as well. In the electronics, at least, people lined up for the small electronics, which were locked up, and they were all given tickets for what they wanted. Then they shuffled along in a very long line to get their goods. BTW, we never located the advertised Blu-ray, though we were there at opening. We also checked what others carried and were carrying out, and nobody had the Blu-ray player. There must have been "minimum of zero per store".

The LN40B500 is not an "older" model, ive seen the box to last years and the box of this years. The Design is different, not just on the box but the panel as well. (Almost looks like the b530 except it looks like it doesnt have the plastic on the bottom of the tv)

This LN40b500 is the model you will see other retailers sell as well.

These tv's have very low margins and i would imagine the price would remain at 600 throughout the holidays.

Looks like a new washer and dryer set for me this year. Gotta look at the specs on it though!!

Forget about looking at the specs, don't let this deal pass if you need laundry. Just get in line and buy it. It is the true steal of this Day After ThanksGiving (DATG). The Kenmore HE3T with Steam is a SUPER machine!!! There many other good deals, but this is the steal! Washer retails 1299 by itself! Good sale would be 999 at best by itself. But you get the washer and dryer!

I would agree. If you've been following electronics trends, these are good deals but not steals. Though, if you are not looking for the highest specs, there are decent low priced TVs out there. The deal that stands out are the laundry pair specials! MAYBE some early purchase opportunities without the chaos on November 15th. Sears' Friends and Family/VIP event. 6pm-9pm.

Talk to a salesman a day or two before and get the plans completed. Come in at open and tell him/her to RING, RING! hahaha. First in, first out. Don't forget, there are limits to stock. 1000 Stores ringing up 10 sets = 10,000 sets! I can't even imagine what that would look like! hehehe.

In reguards to the person who was wondering about this and stating that the employee would quit. I think you may be confused as to when the ad takes place. It would be Black Friday! Day After ThanksGiving! lol!

yea i would like to know for the kenmore ones also

I would highly recommend not to do it online. There is a delay time to process order. I believe the process is that payment is confirmed first then, order. I would visit someone in the store. Check with the Friends and Family event if you don't want to get up early. They may be running BETTER specials. Don't know exactly what's going to happen for friends and family yet. It's funny how someone from the inside does not know what's happening on Nov 15th, yet someone from the outside of sears knows what in store for November 27th!

Uhh, I have NEVER had this happen at Wal-Mart. They will simply look at the ad, then look at their item to make sure it's the exact same thing. They NEVER call other stores to "make sure it's in stock."

What good is the best price if there's no stock and no raincheck?

Last year we bought a w/d set the day before BF and the sales associate just price adjusted it on Black Friday for us. No call no hassles. Maybe we just got lucky with a great SA. We even got the extra $ off they were advertising that morning.
That would be awesome, because it's one of the 2-day deals, so it's not like I'd even have to go out in the craziness of BF to get my price match.

Don't count on the second day or price adjusting. PM is VERY VERY YMMV. it isn't standard practice anyway

I think the $20 down King & Queen comforters are a good price. I don't care about 223 thread count or whatever it is. I've two Pacific down comforters, none of them have high thread counts. I know, because I couldn't afford any of the high thread count models. I never had any problems with huge feathers coming out. The feathers come out anyways, even with the larger thread counts.

But you get the washer and dryer!Well I was interested in what you wrote, but don't you think given a month of time between now & BF or half a month before F&F that researching the sets makes a bit of sense  You seem excited about this one. Do you own it? Looking for more information.

Do NOT get the Kenmore set. The washer is junk! My friend bought the pair last Black Friday The washer smells like old socks and she followed all directions to keep the door open and dry out the basket. Many others have had troubles as well. This post is what I call frustrating... Because # one there are THREE Kenmore W & D sets (that I could find) in the Blk Fri ad for 2009.

One seems like the older type model (most likely to give you problems with standing water - smells), one seems like a higher eff. version in the same style as the older models, and one that is the new high eff. type/model. So for you to make a blanket statement about all Kenmore's first of all is just silly, and to base it on second party knowledge is further frustrating. There are several water issues that can cause certain odors.

You don't give any data other than it was last year & Kenmore. I for one can't recall the entire Blk Fri ad from 2008, so what type was it?
We've had issues with our water from time to time, sometimes the rod(s) in the hot water heater causes this or when it is gone actually; we got a water softener and a few years later started getting stinky water (that company blames everything else but their equipment). It doesn't smell when it comes out but if it sits on a dish towel, or in a bucket it does after time. Not sure how you can blame a washing machine for the smell of the smell? Or how you can say ALL KENMORES' anything... based on what you've said.

On EVERY older style washer we've had, there has always been water than after the spin cycle was done would fall and collect below. Then you just had to run a bit of water in FIRST and run the emptying spin cycle to push that stinky water out so it didn't mix with the clean water we were about to wash with.

EDIT: OP pointed out there can be an issue i was not aware of with H.E. W/D regarding odor / and posts some remedies.... I still think the rest of it, saying the whole line is crap b/c of odor, OR because of a friends use of it isn't helpful. It's like saying all Chevy's are bad because they use gas! Yes, so do other vehicles, it would however be fair to say Model (ABCDEFG) - Uses twice as much gas as (XYZ) and repair bulletin's show that a large percentage of that model from year (## to ##) have transmission seals go... etc. ("...specifics Bob, specifics" ~ Phenomenon)

The reviews for the Samsung High Eff. Washer & dryer set seem better than the Kenmore. But I don't see the Steam functions like on the Kenmore? Anyone doing research into these two models have any suggestions or thoughts?

Also Square Trade does do warranties (have to buy a separate one for each but I haven't read the fine print as to if they send out repairer or ? (I was surprised when I read for example that you have to ship 32" TV's in they don't send someone out).

I don't have an AmerX CC but Visa offers to double warranties up to 1 Year for free (IDK if that includes appliances W/D), and in the past I've bought a extended warranty from them for 10% of a laptop's price for 4 years.

I believe Sears warranty would be about double what ST's goes for, any other thoughts on protecting these?

I have some relatives that live outside the Twin Cities, and they bought a coverage plan for their appliances through their utility company. It's a few bucks a month but they already had a dishwasher serviced several times, hot water heater repaired.... It's dirt cheap compared to the amount they have used it.

All high-effeciency frontloaders can develop odors since they seal so tight and use so little water. You're friend is correct in leaving the door open after a load to allow air to circulate. There is a product out now to help clean and eliminate HE washer odors. It's called Affresh. I've never tried it, I just run empty loads of vinegar and then baking soda to deodorize mine.

My reference to just going and getting them (HE3T w/Steam built by Whirlpool) is based on two factors.
VALUE and SOLID PERFORMANCE. I've sold dozens of them for around $2000. Very few issues and superb performance. This line is in 4th to 5th generation. Most years, the HE series (HE3T, HE4T, HE5T) are always within the top 5. HE4T has been discontinued but they kept the HE3T and did upgrades on it. This series (HE_T) trades blows with the equivalent Whirlpool Duet HT model and LG model consistantly. Normally, under $1000, you can only get a step up from the bare bones models of conventional w/d. About $450 for a conventional washer and about the same for a dryer. This is the REAL DEAL STEAL! ALL washers have the potential of odors. There is residual water in the drainage tube, especially in top load washers. Part of the residual water pressure helps to keep fresh water in the tubs on the next load. That is the reason most washers discharge into a drainage tub usually about 3 feet high. If you didn't have that type of tub and wanted to go straight to a drain hole, you'd have to adapt an anti-siphoning device onto the end of the discharge line. Under normal use, there should be little odor. The more prone models to odors have drainage holes higher up in the door gaskets, That is where the most water collects. Maytag Neptunes were the worst. I believe they were made by Samsung at the time. If odors are a concern, crack the door when you are done using it. The tight seals on some of the frontloading washers do not allow residual moisture to escape. That is actually good! You don't want any leaks! That residual moisture mixed with any biological materials would in a day or two possibly cause odor. Possibly, the only frontloading washers that may resist odors the best is the Samsung with silvercare (in theory). Silver ions naturally kill bacteria. Haven't heard much about error codes issues on the Kenmore Elite frontloading sets. I'm sure there may be, but not enough to warrant any caution. When there is sufficient service records, to warrant that, we get notification from Whirlpool and/or Sears/service. I feel 100% confident about the product when I sell it. And yes, I do own the previous version before the steam version. Nothing but good results.
Also, do not fall into the numbers game, there is almost no significant difference between 4 cubic feet and 4.7 cubic feet. In my floor experiment, they realistically only fit about the same amount of bath towels. It was just a little more roomy. The alternative? Spend $1000 more for a consumer magazine recommended machine (whatever that may be). Even if the HE3T was a so so machine, it's still a deal!
On the other machines, I would go with the Samsung set only if the HE3T was out of stock. The Kenmore Oasis with an agitator is a sweet machine if you the conventional style. Has high spin rate and is pretty efficient with a very large capacity. I like this one over the top loaders without agitators (just personal preference). The Kenmore $579 set is for those who just want to get away from toploading and go with a hair more capacity and get more water and energy efficiency (built by Frigidaire) . The Kenmore $499 (built by Whirlpool) set is for those who is broke! hehehe... Not a bad set though! Any more questions?
If you like the Kenmore Elite HE series built by Whirlpool, get them before they are gone. I think they will all transition to LG built soon. The transition has already started.

You should note, that was the base model for all frontloading built by frigidaire. Anyway, I would agree that it is not the best set but a good deal for the starter frontloader and for $579.

It's a bit of a frustration that they don't carry that model in my store so I couldn't get a look at it, and worries me a little bit that they will try and pull a fast one on B.F. if i'm not the very first or second person in line. The non-steam model is not going to be at special pair pricing. It is very much like the steam one, without steam. That means, you get higher spec machine for a lower price whether you use the steam feature or not. The steam features can always be turned off.
Sears does not intentionally Bull$#it you. I can assure you that. Never has washer and dryer sales been a hot buy for BF, except for 2008. The purchasing response was grossly overwhelming last year and even store managers and appliance managers are still talking about the response now. They did everything they could in their power to fill customer orders even if it meant taking orders for machines to be built/ substituted, etc. Appliance sales nationwide for that timeframe was 90%+ marketshare. That means we honored our ad to a great majority of customers. Certainly we have learned something from last year. I foresee possible issues with the $999 samsung set since F&F customers will have a chance to buy it 2 sundays before BF ($1079). Other than that, the "minimum 2 per store" (in my opinion) is there for legal reasons. Most regional distribution centers can handle many, many units. They don't stock at the store because no one wants to pick up a 300 pound washer at the store. They deliver direct.

Not trying to be a super dick or anything, but my point was that (in my store when there is none of the BF Kenmore HE 3t on hand it's a strickly paper sale ==> when they say they are all gone that's the final word & (yes I just hauled a W&D for a family member in a truck no problem - we loaded & unloaded w/ small cart dolly & ramps with a bit of resistence from them at the bottom of the ramp), I can't walk out the door with the W&D and know that I have them, so I have to rely on them to sell me up to the minimum that they will be allowed to, and when I get an argument from them saying that W&D set doesn't even exist; from the start that doesn't make me feel extra confident in my chances (as I said w/o me being 1st, or 2nd in line).

Last thing. Those aren't the same Samsung models.

If you lived in NY, but were in FL for thanksgiving/BF...and wanted to try to get in on say a doorbuster washer/dryer from Sears. Would that be possible? Would you be able to place an order at the FL Sears and they could arrange a delivery date to your NY address???

I don't do BF anymore ;) but have looked at the ads year after year hoping....

Is it just my imagination in this ad-there's one thing I'd jump on if I did go, but...

Don't most ads say "minimum" of so many of the items? Why then does Sears say "Limit" of? Which means thats ALL they'll have, period? Instead of AT LEAST they'll have so many of that item?

I'd go for the WD set at 599 pair, but I'm not going to fight hundreds of people for ONLY 4 pairs, period :(

The oven/range is selling for the same price currently, on BF you get a free microwave with it.

Yes it is. There were a lot of headaches over a similar deal last year. Hopefully this year will be better.

What kinds of problems were there last year with a similar deal?

Low stock and many of those that placed orders waited for months to receive them if they ever did. My advice, if you're going for the washer&dryer deal, get there early and head straight to a register with ad in hand as they will go quick.

Yes, that is possible. Again, the units usually pull from the closest main warehouse.

[QUOTE=Bdubslawman;24591020]Unless you personally are SearsClause' and are simutaneously in every store on BLK Friday you couldn't possibly know the things that some stores / managers \ workers pull. I didn't imply it was some kind of corporate policy to Bullshit... There are any number of reasons why people do what they do. Over the years I've heard some wonderful whoppers told in the appliance & TV departments right on up the chain.

Yes you are right about the different Samsung sets. About your unwillingness to trust a retail store, you have options. You'll never know how many each store sells unless you are there to see every customer across the country walk out with one and witness each home delivery, There are no perfect retail stores or managers. You have choices including a different Sears location or another retailer. But if there was an unbiased poll of good or bad experiences, the flames would be buried by wood. Don't think you could say that about other retailers.

I thought I could make a difference giving SD members insight on deals and answers, but this flaming does not seem to be worth my time. I thought this was more a deal sharing forum than a flaming forum? I guess that's why not many inside people care to post anymore. Well, I'll give it another go for a while.

The reality is that Sears will have many, many of them. Unlike other stores that really only have 4/2/x. Should be safe within the first hour or so. They did not sell out of the Samsung pair in the Friends and Family VIP event. Nov 15th. The buyers did a good job this year.

How does the $999 front loader Kenmore W/D compare to the $998 Maytag set that Home Depot will have? I know the Kenmore washer has the steam setting and the Maytag doesn't. Since Sears carries the exact Maytag model in the HD ad will they price match + 10% of the difference? I would like to go to a front loader to save water since we are on a septic system.

went and spoke to the appliance mgr today as we are buying a foreclosed home and have to buy all new appliances plus a washer/dryer. we had been looking at the Kenmoore Elite non-front loading pair that will be $849 or $999 with steam dryer and asked if we could get it today and price match it on Fri as long as we were there during the time frame for door busters. got shot down at first then realized we meant business on buying all appliances and then said it would be no problem. so on friday will just be there at 4am for the price adj.

also nice is that we picked delivery and while we don't have a true move in date said they would hold them all at the warehouse anyway and we wouldn't have to worry about storing them at a friends place.

also to earn bonus points with the mgr got the 3 year warranty on it all...but can we call customer service to cancel and have the cost refunded to the credit card? don't wanna have to go to the store again to remove it after getting the black friday pricing.

I have been looking at the Panny TC-P42S1 - this is the TV I want but I haven't seen it at any cheaper than this Sear's BF for $649.

I have never hit Sears on BF (and rarley go out for that matter) - not sure if it's worth it to even try to get this set that day. I'd kinda like to get the set sooner than later though and I dunno when I'll find a good deal on it again.

I also didn't know if I open a Sears card if I'd get the extra 10% off on it.

black06c230, nice you could get the deal early. I would think more stores would want the business and offer sales earlier.

Here's a story about front loading washing machines.
Consumer Reports subscribers from across the country have complained about smelly front-loaders. In fact, the editors have received so many complaints, they now warn about the problem when they review washers.

No, its the "Complete Guitar Game" as opposed to the game only (just a disk). The boxes pictured are too thin for it to be the complete band kit, and they use the similar terminology for the guitar-only setup.

is anyone planning to price match some of the appliance deals from sears at lowes store for the free installation and haulign of your old stuff?

Great question. I did...last night! Luckily for me, I stumbled into an awesome deal at Lowes on Tuesday (11/25) that is running all week. So, instead of waiting outside Sears for a possible chance at a washer and dryer that they may or may not have, I’ll be taking delivery on my Maytag 3000 set that I got at Lowes for $900 with FREE delivery. Just tell Lowes to match the Home Depot price and take off 10% for their low price guarantee. The Lowes sales people will be happy to help you.

And, here's my Sears Black Friday Experience. Good luck everyone!

If you are thinking about going to the Sears Door Buster sale on Friday. Be careful. I did this last year and never received the washer and dryer set that was advertised. I started waiting at 2 a.m. last year and I was the first in line. They opened the doors 15 minutes early. A salesperson took me straight to a computer to ring up the sale. I remember standing there at 3:47 a.m. as he tried to ring up my order. “Quantity Available = 0”. I left the store with a paper raincheck, but got called back later that morning. They were taking orders. I bought the washer and dryer that morning. Four months later, I still hadn’t received the appliances, and I cancelled my order.
I saw the Black Friday ad this year and went back to the store to ask them if they really had the appliances this year. I showed my receipts from last year and explained my disappointment. Their response, “see you Friday morning … make sure and get here extra early because we expect a hundred or so people to be waiting in line”. But, to rub salt in the wound, they told me how “last week”, they were selling the top of the line Samsung series set for $1080 in an un-advertised sale. But, they were sorry they couldn’t extend that price to me.

I'm surprised more people aren't jumping on this deal as well, because I know I am!

I called Sears customer service, and they said the black Friday deal will go online at 4a.m. Friday morning. I'm buying online and having it shipped to my local store, so I can use the $5 off $50 coupon AND the 13% bing cashback. The customer service agent said I will still get free installation if I buy online, so there are no problems there.
This is an absolutely rocking deal (IMO), and I'm shocked more people aren't going nuts over it. It seems that most people are in the market for a washer/dryer and not a dishwasher.
