If possible, could a technical person at Slickdeals please post information about the server setup you have? I'm curious to know how you guys handle the torrent of traffic you get because your site is always very responsive.

I lost count on how many servers we have but it's somewhere around 30.

You guys need to buy Woot and tell them how to run things when they have a WootOff. I'm so sick of the server errors everytime a BOC comes up :lol:

Which load balancer do you use? Scaling web servers is interesting, but I think scaling the database server is the difficult part. What is your database setup like? Do you have some sort of caching mechanism between the web servers and the database?
