Your posts will be reviewed before showing up on the site for a while until they deem that you aren't self promoting or spamming. After enough posts they will show up imediately on here without delay.
You can try making a thread in Hot Deals about the deal you found and see if it gets posted in a few minutes. If it doesn't then you may have to wait until your membership is more established.
Make sure to do a search to see if it hasn't already been posted before submitting your own.

how did you get L1 Learner to appear under your name? I'd love to do the same.

Hi un07627 and welcome to SD. :wave:
The L1 Learner user title will show up under your name automatically once you've been here a little bit longer :)
For a listing of what each specific automatic user title ranking level is, see this post here (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=2094723&postcount=8). (I think the ranking has changed a little bit since it was written, though, because at the time this was written the 'new user' rank wasn't used, if I recall. So just shift each level up a bit to accommodate it ;)) This does not include custom user titles. That privilege comes with time and posts :)
For more information on the various ways that SD works, you might want to check out the SD FAQ Megathread (http://slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=511057) that's stickied at the top of this very forum. It has tons of info that's helpful for new users. :)

Hi widgit,
I tried to rep you but says post "too old." Was looking for answer to a question I had and went back to my 'beginnings' to search for help. Am unsure if I ever pm'd thanks to you - so just wanted you to know I'm grateful for your helpful answers/tutorial for my many questions!
Much appreciated,
Cheers:shake:

actually, you have L2: Beginner under your name, which is better than L1 Learner
L1 = level 1
L2 = level 2
