I'd suggest this capability specifically for the Hot Deals forum but it may also be applicable to other forums.
Many times, I wish I could sort the threads primarily by ThreadStarted and secondarily by Rating .
In other words, I want the latest hot deals listed in descending order by their ratings.

Everyone seems to be mum about this.
I think it's a good suggestion, though it may be quite a lot of work to add this capability.

Think it through, are you sure it would be beneficial?
By the time a deal has a number of thumbs-up ratings, it may be over. You'd miss out on the new, hot deals.
Items that are popular get rated the most. You might be really excited to learn that there is a sale on a particular item of interest to you, but maybe the rest of the board has zero interest in that type of product.
You might want a left-handed smoke bender, but you won't see that deal because nobody else wants one right now.
IMHO, this would add little real value to the board.

Say I only visit the forum after work and want to just check if there's any really hot new deals that I don't want to miss (not necessarily looking for something that I have a dire need for).

IMHO, that's about the same thing, isn't it?

Would the search engine bug (mentioned in another thread) get in the way?IMHO, bugs should be fixed instead of being accomodated with marginally beneficial work-arounds, which leads to system bloat and eventually more bugs, which in turn requires more work-arounds.
