Why not have a slickmeals section?

Sometimes I will find a great buy on some food and don't post it, I've only posted 1 great food buy in the lounge, seemed to get a good response, but I think that if we had a slickmeals section we would all eat a little more cheaply and possibly healthier.

I think it may fit well under the "Everything Else" heading.

ALthough I am generally against adding forums because it gets to be a pain to keep track of a lot of different forums, I think the slickmeals forum would be overwhelmingly supported.

I know I am always after some cheap eats, plus there internet coupons, etc that I think a lot of ppl could offer up.

I know that slickdeals has helped me afford a lot of things that I needed but would have trouble buying, and if I could get my food budget a little lower it would help immensely. Plus I am too often at a loss for finding food, and I think a lot of ppl that frequent this site would have some excellent ideas to share.

besides who can argue with the name "slickmeals,"

Would it be too much to ask to have the thread entitled "Slickmeals - with Davemon" or "Slickmeals - thanks Davemon" or "Slickmeals - by Davemon".....

if not permanently then for a few weeks at least?

i'm all for saving some extra cash on food. haven't found many slickmeals though :(

I think that would be a great idea. I know I'm gonna sound like a cheap ass but usually before I go out to a sit-in restaurant I search SD(and google) for coupons for that particular restaurant before I head out...I figure if I can at least get a free appetizer or 10% off the meal it would be great. Slickmeals would just make it easier for all of us.

yep, i ate cheap every day. cheap date nights for my wife and i as well.

there was a deal for red robin(i think that was the name) that was in the freebies forum a while ago...it was only a chain in the south east though

nope, red robin is a nation wide chain. one down the road from in san diego. it was actually in hotdeals and on the front page too.

I think is a good idea. We've had alot of coupons posted in the coupon section for food like the Bennigans one and the Baja Fresh Coupon.

yeah I really don't like the expansion of extra forums, but for some reason this does sound good to me, a test run for a few weeks would at least be interesting
