They make their money from affiliates. When you click the links and buy something. Someone is actually in the process of making a free app. Isn't SD the best? :D

actually, when you click a link listed in the deal (to staples.com, officedepot.com, amazon.com, etc...), when you order, slickdeals makes money by commission (as they "referred" you to the merchant). So if you buy $100 worth of something, SD gets like 2-5% (maybe higher depending on merchant).
For a popular deals, these commissions really add up.

Our focus has always been on the deals and building the community to support finding the best deals. If we are able to monetize on it, that means our business model is sound and sustainable. I don't think we would be the #1 deal site if we went out and focused on other things.
