Never used this forum before, but I just got merged, and it ruined the point of the thread. Today, I saw that amazon had 30% off gluten free items. People with celiac disease can only eat gluten free. Normal people would not want to eat it because GF food is typically nasty.

Anyway, the cookie, cake, and brownie mix are all gluten free and by betty crocker. I did a search and found NOTHING about gluten free items. People were really responding to the post, because this is a very big struggle when you have this disease.

All of the sudden, I get merged with Selma's post that just says you can get 30% off some Betty Crocker items from a few days ago. Incidentally, I found that post misleading because the code is the same code which was clearly for gluten free but Selma didn't mention that at all.

So, "gluten free" is not in the title so people can find it. The only way you would know if it was gluten free was to click on the list of items that takes you to Amazon, but people with celiac disease are NOT going to even look at Betty Crocker items because we usually can't eat them.

This is not about who gets credit and who doesn't - although again, Selma could have helped a lot of people by indicating it was only gluten free items. It is about a serious health issue, much like diabetes. By merging the "gluten free" specific post with the general Betty Crocker post, SD has effectively eliminated an important resource for consumers who obviously were very excited about it.

Please rethink this merge. Or, ask Selma to change her title. Still, since it is six or seven days back, it is buried. Please give people who rely on gluten free deals a chance to find them at least.

This wasn't apples to apples as it may have looked if you are unfamiliar with the need for these products.

Thank you for the explanation. I agree with you and removed the old thread since it has a bad title.

Like I said, I never used this forum before. I am amazed at how quickly you addressed this but sincerely appreciate it. I honestly could care less who gets credit, but, having recently been diagnosed as of May of last year, I have found it extremely difficult to find gluten free foods. I very much appreciate you allowing this thread to be posted as of today with "gluten free" in it so that others can benefit from this opportunity.

Thank you so much!

Sorry that was my mistake. I wondered about the different titles for the same deals and should have questioned it before merging. My apologies.
