Looking for roundtrip from Orlando to Denver. Willing to fly out of/to close airports. Dates aren't concrete, but I'd like to fly out around December 1 and return around January 11.
The lowest I can find is $258. Anyone?

Is there an airfare search engine that can search multiple departure cities along with multi departure/return dates? I'm very flexible assuming the price is right, but the arrival city is in Europe and is not flexible. Having to troll through tons of variations is a PIA. Thanks.

I'm going to Hollywood, CA on October 9th and I'm looking for a deal on a hotel that is near the El Capitan Theatre on 6838 Hollywood BLVD.
Does anyone know any promotions or rates for the area? I'm going on the trip with my dad who is 61 so if there's any deals on people who are 60+ I'd like to know about those too. Thanks in advance :)
My preferred price range is between $70-$110.

I'm looking to book a trip to Disney World in mid-December, but I'm just so overwhelmed with all the Disney-themed travel sites (including the 2 on the first page). Plus, I have about $200 in Southwest credits, so I'd like to use them as an airline so the credits don't expire... but then should I book the entire trip through them? Where do you guys go when you're booking a trip to Disney World?
Depending on when you are going, Disney just posted a new deal for Nov-dec 24th and then Jan through end of Mar 2010. The Buy 4/3 free. I use dreams unlimited to do my booking they find the best deals, and if a new code gets posted after you book, they get you the deal.

for people who want to use a 50$ off code for 3 nights hotel stay on hotels.com
go ahead n buy the big bundle (the deal from trialpay a few days back - search for trialpay or big bundle) after the 40% or 50% code that SDers are sharing, it comes to only 14.99 and that entire money goes to charity, plus you get so many other discounts n goodies besides the 50$ hotels.com code...

I would also check out www.cheapoair.com as well when looking for cheap flights.
cheapOair sucks! They make their base price much lower than competitor sites to make you think that you are saving $$$. But they charge an arm and a leg for "tax" to make up for the difference.

Looking for R/T flight and hotel from Miami MIA or FLL to LHR LONDON, willing to leave from TAMPA or ORLANDO.
I can travel starting 12/20 and can return no later than 1/2/10. Looking for 4 - 5 nights in there somewhere. I found AA has a non-stop 8:30pm overnight flight from MIA which looks good. The return via Raleigh-Durham looks good too.
What is the best price for that combo? I found cheaptickets and other sites $847 ($702 + tax) around the 12/25 date. Not sure if I should wait or expect any price reductions for this time period.
Also looking for safe hotel in walking distance to tube, theatre, etc.
I will be going to the O2 while there, dont have to stay right at the O2 though.
Help! One adult traveling only and this is my first time in London. Thanks!

have you Tried looking at Hotwire and/or Priceline? You can check betterbidding.com for a pretty thorough list of hotels for each of those sites. For big metro areas like LA, their lists are pretty complete. You can probably snag a 3.5* hotel in those areas for $60 - $70 / night. PM me if you want some more help, i got a few tricks too.

wiki says that farecast will give you historical data and help you predict if current price will go up or down. when i click it, i'm directed to bing.com/travel. has the site changed or did bing buy it out or what?
i would like to travel from charleston sc to anchorage alaska. so far the cheapest price i've found is around $700 which i don't think i could afford. am i naive to think i can get cheaper than $700 for this flight? probably need a hotel for the same days too. here are the full details...
The wedding is Saturday, June 26 2010 so I would like to arrive during the week before (preferrably Thursday but open to wednesday or even tuesday)
Since I am traveling so far, I would like to stay for at least five days so I would want to return the following Wednesday or Tuesday.
Hopefully the Hotel will be near Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (where the ceremony will be)
i hope i can avoid getting a rental car so i would like to stay at one of the three recommended hotels which are:
The Anchorage Mariott Downtown
Holiday Inn Express
America's Best Value Inn - Executive Suite Hotel
I'm assuming multiple people involved with the wedding will be at these three hotels so that would be nice to be with other guests (car purposes).
this is for a friend's wedding which i would be a groomsman if i can make it.

really? i have never had experience with priceline so i only know vaguely how they work. since my trip has shown in the $700 range, i should go to priceline, input the same variables that i want to do but ask for a $350 pricepoint for the flight? at that price i'm sure i would go. would they still send me on a plane or strap a bunch of balloons to a basket?

not much activity on this thread it seems.
i've determined the following for my trip now:
plane ticket should be from charleston sc to anchorage alaska leaving on thursday june 24 and returning wednesday june 30
hotel room should be from friday june 25 and ending wednesday june 30 (that thursday night people will be camping).
hope to spend less than $700 for the entire trip. broke it down to plane ticket price being <$400 and hotel room being <$60 per night. of course, the cheaper i can get a plane ticket, the more i would be willing to spend for the hotel room. (ex: a $350 plane ticket would leave room to spend $70 per night on a hotel...possibly meaning a star upgrade)
also, if anyone is familiar with the anchorage area, feel free to pm me some suggested attractions

Just from my recent searches, the weekends in Vegas tend to be crazy expensive. Couple that with cheaper flights on Tuesdays and it may be better to go from Tues through Friday.

At this point, all US airlines treat you like cattle. Unless, of course, you fly first class.
EDIT: Just checked fly.com and the prices seem to be about the same. I suppose it might only be the hotel that is cheaper.

e are in the very beginning planning stages for a family trip to Europe next year. Do you all know of an all-inclusive website that might help with my planning? For e.g., best time of year to visit, sights to see, airfare and hotel? Flying from one place in Europe to another for minimal cost? I have heard that there are shuttles like that but I can't even imagine where to begin. Maybe I should even go to an old-fashioned travel agent!!
I am already feeling overwhelmed and I've only just begun looking into all this! Has anyone else planned a trip like this?
Thanks for your help!!!

Friends (a married couple with a baby) just invited us (fiance and me) to go with them in Kona Dec. 30th through Jan. 9th. Apparently we'll be staying in our friend's bosses house for free for 10 days. Our friends are taking advantage of this deal:
$179 one way from Oakland to Kona (http://www.alaskaair.com/as/www2/promo/farePromos/california-hawaii.asp?INT=AS_AllDeals_||20100917_SALE_2||)
Apparently this deal ends Monday so we need to act fast. Our friend said, "The tickets were $377.60 each including taxes/fees". It would be nice if we flew together so should we try to get the same deal on the same flight?
Also, any recommendations regarding deals while we're there? I'm sure we'll rent a car or something and see the sites and all. :)

My wife and I just got a 7 night cruise for the Caribbean Princess, Jan 9 to Jan 16. Ship leaves 11pm on the 9th, and returns 6 AM on the 16th. I've been advised to allow at least 4 hours time between ship & airport, just to be sure. Got the cruise deal for $1,223 for 2, including all port fees & taxes. Considered just making it a package deal on the Princess website, but they wanted $800 per person.
Anyway, now that we have the cruise part taken care of, I'm looking for a deal on the airfare. The best I've found is $417 including all taxes/fees using Delta. This is the best I've found using Orbitz, cheaptickets.com and sidestep.com. There are a couple of flights showing as less expensive, but they have something like an 11+ hour wait between flights. In other words, save $10 and essentially get a hotel = not a great deal.
So $417 seems to be the best I can find. Considering that I'm used to paying about $180 to fly from Ohio to the Southwest (about the same distance), I figured I'd be able to get this for $300 or less. That isn't turning out to be the case at all. It is looking more and more like our airfare will add considerably more than 50% on to the price of our cruise.

Greetings and happy new years to you all.
Anyone by chance have a Delta certificate they would like to trade for a $150 certificate on United?
While on that note is there anyone that would be interested in selling their Delta Sky Miles?
Buying miles direct form Delta costs 2.8 cents a mile. But transferring only costs 1 cent per mile.
Hence the 30,000 tickets we need for an award will only cost $300 vs $840
My limited research turned up one site that buys/sells miles. I asked for a quote so we'll see where they come in at. Any suggestions for buy/sell/trade airline miles/certs etc etc would be more than welcome.
Cliffs: Will work for miles
Many Thanks!!

Family of four flying from Hartford, CT (BDL) to Fayetville, Arkansas (XNA). We are a little flexible on the dates. Dates are going to be 06/24-07/14
Is it too early to get the best deal on this now? Kayak is showing about $390.00. Best I've seen is $350.00 from Kayak when I set the price alert/tracker in August of 2010. During that time, we didnt know if this trip was gonna happen. I tried "Name your own price" on PriceLine, but it seem the prices wouldn't budge. I bid up to 350.00 incl tax.
So to recap, trip details are as follows.

I"ve noticed some questions about wanting to go somewhere anywhere and how to find cheap fares from your city. Travelocity used to have Dream Maps, but now have this newer tool that shows low fares from a city. You click the downdrop box to select your departure city and it has quite a few and then be sure to use the scroll feature to the right of the pricing to see all the cities to go to listed. I like that the fares are listed as round trip and not just one way.

Hope this reply isn't too late, but it sounds like the shuttle you're thinking of is Ryanair. Be seriously careful if you're looking to book with this airline. The fares may be super cheap, but the luggage fees are horrific.
If you're just looking to do day trips, they'll be great because you won't have a lot of bags with you. If you're going to a new city without planning to return you'll run into the same issue I did.
The first bag is 15gbp off peak for up to 15kg. That's about 33lbs as opposed to the American standard of 50lbs. You're only allowed two bags per person. Forget about carrying the extra weight with you on board. They only allow 10kg in carryons and, yes, they will weigh them at the gate before you're allowed to board.
You can opt to leave the weight in the bag, but you'll be charged per kg. If you book your flight online and don't mention the checked luggage, you'll have an extra charge for that.
Here's their list of fees:
http://www.ryanair.com/en/terms-and-conditions#regulations-tableoffees
Don't be naive like I was. I had two one way flights with them and had to pay an additional 260 euros at the airport just to be able to take my bags with me. I had no choice. I was flying from Brussels to Dublin, then Dublin to London before returning to the States.
That said...you might want to look into traveling by train. It'll take a bit longer, but is definitely cheaper. If you don't have a lot of destinations in mind, you can buy the tickets individually.
Or if you're nuts like me you can get a rail pass. With it, I traveled from Sweden to Berlin to Prague to Vienna to Salzburg to Munich to Zurich to Luxembourg to Amsterdam to Brugge then Brussels. I could go from train to train without needing to wait in line to buy tickets to the next destination. That was crucial since I only had 8 days to cover all those cities.
Also, you can use rail passes on some local train routes. You just have to do your research.

Where can I find a good deal on a Bahamas/Caribbean cruise? First time cruising, going with gf and their parents. Looking for 2 rooms. They are over 55 years old to qualify for the senior discount. Thanks in advance

Hi expert travellers....
I am looking at booking theme park tickets for:
disney orlando
Universal orlando
seaworld orlando
I see deals everywhere with hotel stays..i do not need a hotel stay...i need deals just for the theme park tickets....i have 5 days to spend in florida and I have costco and AAA memberships...however even the costco travel shows deals with hotel stays only...
any suggestions?
we are going to LA in march for few days. I want to take my boys to Universal Studio Hollywood. I checked on ebay and a seller was selling a link to a website which gives $18 off discount plus second day free . Does anyone happen to know what website is it? The seller charges $3 for the link.
thank you for any help!!

Room 77 is another great site for hotel metasearch. They search sites from across the Web on one page (no pop-ups!!) and offer AAA and senior discounts. You can also see hotel floor plans and simulated Google earth views from rooms for many of the hotels. Pretty cool stuff.
