there are many nice hostels, it's better to buy when you arrive and can 'see' the place. one exception would be the first night if you arrive late.

get some diatomaceous earth for the bed bugs, you should be in good shape after that.

Federal security service fee = FSSF = U.S. security tax (currently $2.50), used for passenger and baggage screening

We are in the very beginning planning stages for a family trip to Europe next year. Do you all know of an all-inclusive website that might help with my planning? I personally wouldn't trust one all-inclusive website for the best, most thorough information. From personal experience (Europe 3 months summer 2001, near yearly trips Ireland/UK since a child and other world locations), most of the fun in planning your adventure is the research on various boards and forums, reading the travel guides and, during the planning phase, getting a true feel for the kind of travelers you and your family want to be (guided in a group, traveling alone, some of both). :yummy:

Whether you use a travel agent or not depends on how proactive you are in doing your own research and how comfortable you are in making reservations (transportation, lodging, advance site bookings, etc.) online, by phone or by mail. Just because you are feeling overwhelmed at this beginning :confused: , doesn't mean you won't be able to handle most of it yourself if you like. Although after doing your research, that's a good time to enlist the help of a travel agent if you prefer. They can give a newbie good advice on what your budget will allow. (I handled all the planning alone for my three-month trip in Europe except for the 21 days I traveled with Rick Steves' Europe Through the Back Door (http://www.ricksteves.com/) in Italy. The rest of the trip I was a single woman traveling alone via train, bus and rental cars! Very doable and tons of fun!)

First things first...visit your local bookstore and really study the top travel guides for Europe: Frommers, Fodors, Lonely Planet, Rick Steves, etc. Note the writing style of the books, the budgets they are catering to, and see which ones you prefer. They are very different! I personally like Frommer's and Rick Steves, but don't find Lonely Planet my style, while many others absolutely love it. I love the Rick Steves' guides because there are inexpensive choices provided as well as the more expensive, hotels are actually located close to sites, and the tips alone for beating museum and attraction lines :eek: are worth the cost of the books.

Then either buy several guides at the bookstore or online (remember SD's Borders discount coupons (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=75777&t=193589&highlight=Borders), Amazon deals (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.php?sduid=75777&t=444510&highlight=Amazon) or Rick Steves' (http://travelstore.ricksteves.com/) special offers!) or try to find Europe travel books at your library, through your local Freecycle (http://www.freecycle.org) group or CraigsList (http://newyork.craigslist.org/lgi/). Of course, pop into any travel agency you pass and scoop up the free literature on things which interest you. It's all educational! Also, remember, around this time of year AAA (http://www.aaany.com/index.asp) starts putting on their free travel shows or check the travel section of your newspaper for travel slideshows or talks happening locally.

Then get everyone in the family reading these guides (put a copy in the bathroom :lol: ! Bring one on errands to the post office or grocery store for line downtime!) and make notes on places/ideas that really call to you. The point is to give you information so you all can narrow down your choices of which countries to visit, how long to stay, what to see and do, etc. (Rick Steves' guidebooks put sample suggested itineraries at the front so that you can see what best to highlight in a limited amount of time.)

I will second Lonely Planet, I really like that site and its a great source of info - the people on it really seem to know what they're talking about. Kayak is also one I like to check, but also after i find a deal a lot of times i'll go straight to the airline's website to see if i can find something better. Also, lufthansa is having a sale on a lot of their US to Europe flights through tomorrow that are really good like chicago to munich for just like $200 - also worth checking out.

Hi I dont need help with flying deals but we do frequently travel back to canada where Im originally from and ironically I am hitting dead ends when searching for deals or offers. Isnt there anyway of saving money and maybe even getting free stuff when travelling. Since joining here I realize there must be a way. I think I know what you're looking for - http://www.redflagdeals.com/ Is a canadian focused site that has a pretty good forum so try that out. The only thing I can think of is if you travel a lot maybe you should try looking for a credit card with a good rewards program for miles/hotels/etc? If you travel like me I'm sure you have frequent flier set up with all the airlines and they alert you whenever deals come up? But you don't have to be a member to qualify for a lot of good deals on stuff, it just really helps to keep you in the know. The best winter deals I've seen when it comes to fights have been lufthansa's flights from the US to Europe right now and you don't have to be a Miles and More member to get those so keep that in mind too.

I would step carefully with student universe. I have heard some horror stories about them.

I was gonna wait for a 10% off American Airlines coupon to save me $75. Then, the fare raised from $471 to $574.

The regrettable thing about travel deals is that they are totally flexible from moment to moment!! That fare that went up could also go down later on, too. Don'tcha just love the travel industry!

It simply pays to be forearmed with all the coupons, mileage-earning credit cards, rewards programs, etc., before you go looking for the best fare. Then it is almost a crap shoot. You just have to take your chances and be content with the deal you get.

For me, I'm the worst follower of my own advice, since I usually find a little bit better deal somewhere after I've booked what I thought was a fabulous deal. With all the travel newsletters and bulletins I get or check out, that's bound to happen. So c'est la vie!

You're not necessarily stuck.
With some airlines you can actually put a 'hold' on a flight for up to two weeks, with no obligation.
Many airlines will refund the difference between the price you paid, and the lower price if the flight you're taking becomes less expensive later on. (You have to ask for it though)
If you find an incredibly better deal at a different airline, most airlines will not refund your money, but will give you credit for future flights.
Go to www.farecast.com to learn of new deals at your airline(s).
Another thing to remember is it's best to check prices several times a day.
I generally check with travelzoo or sidestep...find the best prices offered, and then go to the actual airline offering the sale and buy direct (if it's cheaper)
I got an incredible price (imho) on Saturday.
Saturdays and Wednesdays seem to be the most likely days for deals, but....you never know!

farecast is really good, but be sure to just keep checking the airline's websites themselves too. the deals on lufthansa's website change on almost a weekly basis so i'm not sure farecast will catch them. also, check to see what airlines are partners of the flight you want because sometimes you can transfer miles between partners and people forget to count that sometimes.

flight pricing is nuts. I was notified when I came into work this morning I will be going to Atlanta March 5th-8th. Not a big deal because work pays for the air fare, but I always like to shop around and get the better prices. Prices I'm seeing range from $500-$1233 for a round trip ticket from Louisville to Atlanta. Be cheaper for them to let me rent a car and drive it, its only about 6 and a half hours -- then we'd save on shipping my equipment too (i cant take my large equipment box on a flight due to size and weight, so we have to UPS it to my travel locations.)

After finding my exact travel dates, I played around with my options. I had $1,028 nonstop with Delta, $672 Nonstop with NWA, and $632 nonstop with Continental. -- so I changed my airport. Instead of using Louisville I used Indianaoplis, and I was able to find tickets for $298. Funny how a different departure airport is so much cheaper. I was toying with the idea of buying a $343 ticket to Orlando that had a connection in Atlanta, both ways, and just not continuing onto Orlando, but since I found a cheaper flight I will be going with that as long as my boss is okay with my flying out of Indy instead.

I spent many hours checking and re-checking hotel rates and reviews, and found what I think is a great deal.
This site has other (decent) hotels for less, but....I wanted something really nice (without having that sinking feeling I get when all of my money is being sucked out of my purse!)

So anyway, I found a gorgeous place about a mile and a half from Disney, with a bedroom, living room, and kitchenette area (which has a stove, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, and dining area.)

There are a lot of other amenities, too, and I'm paying $76. pr night!

How I booked a vacation for 2 in Orlando for under $1000

There are even less expensive ways to do it, but I paid extra for certain amenities I wished to have. (It’s not a slick deal if you wish you did it differently) Also, keep in mind that I am traveling during the last month of March (Spring Break period,) when prices for everything in Orlando are at a premium. If you use these tactics during the ‘off’ season, (September after Labor Day, October, the week after Thanksgiving, and December-excluding Christmas and New Years), your results will undoubtedly be much better.

Flight; $329. 2 RT tickets from my town (Louisville) straight to Orlando (MCO) I could have saved around $100 flying out of another airport, or flying into Tampa, but the convenience factor made it worth it to me.

How I found this flight deal; I signed up for ‘Ding’ through SW, I checked www.air-fare.com every day, I checked www.travelzoo.com often along with Travelocity and Sidestep. I also signed up to be notified b various airlines when a flight was available that matched my needs. I checked the travel threads on www.slickdeals.net and www.disboards.com every day. When I was actively searching, I checked all of these places several times a day. It was discouraging for a while, because the cheapest flights I could find came out to around $300. per person after fees and taxes.
I made sure to travel on a Tuesday or a Wednesday, because the flights are almost always alot cheaper then. I received an e-mail from Southwest that they had some ‘click and save deals’ I checked, and they were offering flights (one way) to and from Orlando for $69. As soon as I saw that, I jumped on it.

Hotel; $254.49 for 3 nights. This is an area where I could have saved more money, but, I wanted something special. It has a master bedroom, a kitchen with a stove, fridge, toaster, microwave and coffee-maker, a dining table, a ‘roman tub’, and two lovely pools. It is only a mile away from Disney and a mile and a half from Universal, and it has excellent reviews on many travel websites.

How I got this hotel deal; I checked the ‘usual suspects’ listed above, and I also bought some books on Orlando. (I could have saved $$ by going to the library, buying them used, or at least ordering them from Amazon, but I wanted them up-to-date, and I wanted them NOW! *lol*) The books I bought were The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2007 by Bob Sehlinger and Len Testa (I recommend it)
Passporters Walt Disney World Resort by Jennifer and Dave Marx, (this one’s a bit different, I’d read the reviews on it to see if it’s for you) and Disney on a Dime by Chris and Kristal Carson. (Not really much info in this one.) I also recommend The Penny Pincher’s Guide to Walt Disney World. I don’t actually have that book anymore, and don’t know who wrote it, but it’s the best book I’ve ever read on how to save $$ when in Orlando on vacation.
After reading in these books and on the Dis boards about a website called www.hotelkingdom.com , I decided to check it out. I went there and found the place I described above (Cypress Point Grand Villas) for $76. per night. (They had two bedrooms from $100. per night, but, I felt that would be wasteful with only me and ds staying).
They are a time-share resort, but I do not have to go to any timeshare presentation. I can if I want to, and get $150, but, it’s not something I want to do. I could have found a room for much less, but, for the price, the good reviews and the convenience and $$ saving by having a fridge and stove, and the location, it was worth it to me.

Rental car $151.09 1 week; Again, this is another place where I could have saved a few bucks by waiting until the last minute, but, it was worth $50 to me to have the peace of mind that it is taken care of.

How I got my car rental deal; I checked the places listed above, plus www.mousesavers.com and www.carrentalmomma.com and certain car rental websites (esp. Dollar, as they seemed to have the best prices on on-site rental cars.)
I had a few criteriae, I wanted to be able to rent at the airport. I have rented off-site before, and, honestly, for the $$ I saved, it just wasn’t worth the hassle. I also wanted to rent from a company that had good reviews by the Disneyers. I relied on the mousesavers site for this information. They said to avoid Payless car rental, if possible, so I did. After checking and re-checking all these sites, and trying many combinations of codes, I finally just went to Priceline and put in a bid of $15. per day. They accepted my bid, and, with taxes and fees, it came to around $150. It goes against my general principles to pay more than $100 per week for a rental car, but, since ds will be with me, and I will be driving straight to Dad’s house in Melbourne when we land, it was worth an extra $50 for the peace of mind. I was aware also, that it is Spring Break so, I’m not terribly unhappy with this deal.
If you just book your rental through a regular agency, you can book and cancel anytime you find a lower rental. You cannot cancel with Priceline, so, be sure of your dates if you decide to go with them.

Universal Studios, 2, 7 day passes to all the parks for $185.28 The average family of 4 spends $400. per day on tickets!!

How I got a deal on tickets; It would have been much more difficult had I NEEDED to go to WDW, but, we really like Universal. It’s so clean and fresh looking, everything is newer, and the rides are spectacular. I looked on the Dis boards, and Mouse savers, and everyone was talking about a 7 day unlimited pass to all of Universal’s parks for around $80. a piece. Since a one day one park pass is around $75, this is an excellent deal! We are not going to be in Orlando the whole 7 days, but, it’s the best deal going. It is an internet only deal. You pay in advance, and then print your tickets at a kiosk set up for that purpose. You can print them at home, but, I prefer the heavier weight of their actual tickets. (You tend to get quite wet at Universal!)

Staying at Dad’s house; FREE!

How I got this deal; Called Dad, said “hey Dad, we’re coming to visit” He said “ok” ymmv. :lol: :lmao:

Ok. So this is my first time traveling on a plane by myself, only traveling on a plane once before in 92 with my mommy and daddy (aww.)

I hope to leave New Jersey on Thursday the 29th during the evening (btwn 6-9p) and land in Dallas, then take an early Monday morning flight out back to Jersey. Being that I'm such a noob at this, I prefer non-stop flights.

My mom for some reason is determined I should fly out of ACY (Atlantic City airport) - but I'm not finding any flights out of there, so Newark (EWR) or Philadelphia (PHL) will suffice, although she's highly against Philly for some reason. Speaking of which - how much does it cost to leave your car at an airport, because Philly seems to be showing the cheapest flights on AA.com, so if I had to, I suppose I'll drive myself.

So basically, if anyone could guide me in the right direction - I'm looking for any coupons, discounts, advice for a first time flyer.. it would be greatly appreciated.

Help me find a Travel Deal: Honeymoon in Hawaii

I've been bouncing around several of the travel sites listed in the top post, but I am having a really hard time finding even a "decent" deal on airfare (I only need airfare at this stage) for my honeymoon to Hawaii.

Some info:

Departure Date: Planed for Thursday, July 5, 2007 (this is flexbile, can leave the 4th or 6th is necessary)
Return Date: Sunday, July 15, 2007. This is non-negotiable, as I only have the following Monday off and we have a place booked through Sunday already).

I live in NY, so JFK, Laguardia, Islip, and maybe even Newark are acceptable locations for flying out of/returning. I'm planning on flying into Kona airport on the Big Island, but this is potentially negotiable as well.

Obviously the flights won't be non-stop, but any layover more than an hour and a half is excessive. In addition, I haven't been able to find a fare under $725 round trip per person.

Airefare Watchdog has been sending me updates and there is a trip to Kona for around $550 per person, only valid for flights through May 17th.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to look for a better deal? Should I wait a few weeks and look again? Or is the time of year factor playing a large part in the pricing?

I have looked into craigslist and vrbo, and we'll probably go that route for lodging. It's just so overwhelming. I don't know where to stay, in relation to what we want to do. I am afraid to pick a spot too far from activities.
I have looked at a couple of travel packages, but they are expensive! I'll look into the travel deals forums today. We have a Costco membership. More than anything, I need insight from those that have been there.
We plan to eat in as much as we can, and will buy our supplies from Costco or WalMart.
Any ideas on how to plan this trip?

People here can certainly try to direct you to the best deals, but if you need Hawaii vacation info, try TripAdvisor.com and do a search by or go to google.com and "hawaii message board" In other words, check travel sights for suggestions on exactly what to do. for the deals on them, come back here and ask.

The best I found was 243 + taxes + fees and that was through United. I dont really want to pay more than 160 when everything is said and done. I took this exact trip several months ago and it costed 180 total, but I booked it months in advance. Sorry I didn't include this info before.

went to airline sites and looked up "last-minute" travel and "weekend packages" these packages tend to include flight and hotel, or flight and rental car.

I found a flight from boston-baltimore, $188 total, includes a rental car (unlim mileage)! this was by far cheaper than anything else i was able to find, and the car now allows me to drive myself into DC. Or i can just have my brother pick me up and forget about the car. there are also last minute flight and hotel packages for a bit more money (of course they catch you on upgrades)

mapleleaftickets.com is the best place for orlando theam park tickets!!! They were great. WE were able to get 5 days at disney parks (no expiration passes) for 4 people for around 900.00 I know that I may be off on my quote...

If you don't a a credit card that earns you points or air miles or some other goodie, it doesn't matter; but before you book the cruise really checks out other possible discounts...are you over 50? a member of a particular group (teachers, lawyer, etc.)...it's hard to believe you can't find a discount somewhere ... unless possibly you're trying to book one of the upper suites or something. BTW, you gotta have a credit card that give you something back...airmiles are great...lots of way to optimize those. Same with hotels, but I'm cheap when it comes to hotels...but I have two cards for them too. What are dates?

I don't know which sites you've checked, but it appears your price range is in the $250/day range. It's really late in the season to be looking; but have you tried VRBO.com (vacation rental by owner); also Expedia has a several nice hotels that are across from the beach for about 1/2 the price. What hotel memberships do you have? Any points to use? Hilton and Hampton both have nice member programs, even Comfort Inn and the other Intercontinental's have good offers (join if you haven't) - you'll get the discounts even before you stay. Are you eligible for other discounts? Age, membership, road service club?? If you want to see specific properties (hotels) look at tripadvisor.com...real people, with real opinions. You need to do a bit more homework to help you ... deals are out there, but you have to give more info and do a bit more googling ... best of luck and have a great time!

Here's a tip that I figured out is true..

Bookings flights online is the cheapest when you do it between 12am and 5am on Wednesdays. If you do it on a Saturday, you'll see that it could be a heckload more.

For an example. I searched hundreds of airlines this evening. Lowest I could find from SAV to DFW round trip coach class was 336.

Last wednesday during those wee hours, I was able to find $212. That's well over a hundred less.

This seems to be quite consistant - I have tried it over a several week period, and that does seem to be the cheapest time to book a flight online.

Here's a tip that I figured out is true..

Bookings flights online is the cheapest when you do it between 12am and 5am on Wednesdays. If you do it on a Saturday, you'll see that it could be a heckload more.

For an example. I searched hundreds of airlines this evening. Lowest I could find from SAV to DFW round trip coach class was 336.

We will be traveling in New York and Washington DC in 5 days. LGA is the airport we will arrive. Hotels are expensive in NY city. I desperately need some suggestions on hotels. My friends suggest me to stay in New Jersey and the hotels also offer free breakfast.But which area OR hotel should I stay to be able to get into NY city fast? We are going to see NY city for 2-3 days, then rent a car to DC. So we need to stay in a Hotel that can provide transportation into NY city.
I put New Jersey on Priceline Hotel search, but I must know the city's name before performing any search on hotels in New Jersey.

Also, are there sites that specialize in your destination? If you would consider layover may get better deal than straight flight; hotel/air packages may be cheaper than just a flight. Trip advisor can help with that too. Sign up with travel zoo, Sherman's Travel and airlines for deals to be emailed to you. Well, that should be a good start. The site is focused on travel so you may get some good responses. You can go directly to the country and possiibly state and ask. Go and look around. Places like travel advisor should allow you to search multiple airline sites. www.travelusa.com, bookingbuddies.com, ultimatefares.com and the individual airlines. If you sign up with smartertravel.com should be able to arrange to get special airfare deals for your destination emailed to you. I think that hotwire.com does that too.

Any recommendations on optimal time to purchase tix to BOM from PDX for travel in Mar/Apr next year. Also are "low" fare times usually consistent for various airlines? This site is fantastic.

I was able to book RT tickets from Austin to Orange County using it for $130 each earlier this year.

There are a number of different sites out there that do this - some will put certain airlines in and then leave other airlines out. In almost each case it is now cheaper (after using the site) to go to the (low fare) airline site directly and then see if they even have it cheaper (50% of the time).

The BEST site is www.yapta.com. They will search for particular flights, not just flights in general. They also keep checking your flight after you have bought it, and help you get a refund for the price difference if the price goes down. This is the only site that will do that (and remember, ALL airlines give refunds for the price difference as long as you booked directly through an airline, and do not use expedia, etc.)

How does that work? Kayak actually DOES send you to the airline's site. I've never noticed that going directly there is any cheaper.

This is the company that writes the software that most of the other commercial sites use.

They have removed the dumbing down that the other sites do. They also remove the flashy ads. Hope you will not miss those.

The best thing is the flexiability of the flights offered including if purchasing 2 one-way tickets on different airlines is better.

You will have to go to the airline to book. That is a good thing often other sites chrge a booking fee if you buy it on their site. Also buying from the airline removes a middleman if there is an issue later on.

The best way to book a flight is after midnight as all the sites reset the seats availble and there are also more availible and the costs drop. Also, delete your "cookies". If you do, you have a better chance of seeing a lower price if it drops since your last time at a sight.....:nod: :nod: :nod:

I forgot to mention, for example that fare from N.Y. to Prague. By which airline?
If you had chosen to fly from say another site in the U.S. to an intermediate city - may be cheaper and then some of the other fare sites (expedia) for example will list european airlines - some of those are very cheap, plus gives you an intermediate stop. Say N.Y. to Frankfurt then book the german airline Luftanasa to Prague; usually about $20 + tax($100). Luftanasa will use a smaller airline "Eurowings". If the tax amount needs explaination - VAT(Value Added Tax) - european community! Just a added thought!

KAYAK is a great site...I fly about once a month and has features (check boxes) along the left side that make easy to try various flight combinations.

Another good one is ITASOFTWARE.com, click on choice for flight info, then LOGIN as Guest. Once in the site, you can check a month long schedule and see the cheapest available flight. This way you can judge whether your price is good. Also you can tell if leave on different day, how much the cost difference is.

Note: none of these sites check SWA - so you still gotta check them separate.

I like the ITA website, but believe it or not I found my ticket cheaper with kayak. I didn't use ITA when I was buying but when I went back and checked it was about $30 more expensive. I will be using it though :cool:

when you're deep into fare searching, stop every so often and blow out your temp files and cookies. Many times I have tried to go back to a fare I had seen only minutes earlier and it was "no longer available." Delete cookies, come back fresh and hey whaddaya know, there it is. Bastages.

Searching for fares is so much work (sigh), sometimes I almost long for the days of travel agents.

They told me it would cost me a $50 "change fee" despite the fact that I'm just asking for the difference - and I'm a Platinum AA member! total bs!

This was way cheaper than anything I could find on any online site (including kayak, expedia, travelocity, etc.). I was hesitant at first due to never having heard of it before, but I had a good experience - the agents are friendly and helpful, though not always having the best English.

I'm not sure how this site compares on normal round trip, but it was definitely much cheaper for my weird open jaw itinerary with a stopover - I flew from Newark to Seoul with a week long stopover in Maui, and then from Beijing back to Newark for 1700$. This was during peak travel season (the summer) and the cheapest I could find anywhere else was more than 2200$. Hope this helps someone!

Need some recommendations for a carribean vacation, with the wifey. want to take a week in mid-december to hit up one of the carribean islands, trouble is i've never been to any so i dont know where to start. i do want to stay away from the bahamas and aruba, only because we are going there next march, but everything else is game.

what i'm looking for is:
-safe accomodations, beach access, nice beach weather, all-inclusive would be nice, not necessary, and other things to do than hang on the beach - snorkeling, hiking, etc. a casino would be a nice feature, but not necessary.

any thoughts and ideas/websites for research would be great.

thinking of cancun or somewhere fairly touristy, not looking to backpack the island or bounce around from spot to spot on this trip.

I really like staying at the Hotel on the Cay in St. Croix. I try to get there at least once a year. The rooms aren't that great, but the location can't be beat and it's fairly inexpensive. It is on it's own small private island, within a free quick boatride to Christianstead, so it is very safe.

We usually get up in the morning, mix some coconut rum (which is made on the island) with some fresh guava juice and put it in a cooler. We walk down to the beach to relax and maybe do some snorkeling on the reef that surrounds most of the island.

There are quite a few activities in Christianstead (scuba diving, bars, sea plane, etc.) and there is a Casino on the island. It is also about a two-hour boat ride to St. Thomas.

Personally, I like the Virgin islands much better than the Bahamas. I do like Aruba, though the last time I was there, I was 16!

About $1200 is the cheapest and it was on a KLM flight. Unfortunately when I tried to find out more on KLM's website it redirected me to Northwest. And of course on their site the fare was more than $2000. I was hoping to find something under $1000. If not then perhaps it might be best if I wait until March, maybe the dollar will be in better shape by then.

Right now, cruising is REALLY, REALLY cheap. Airfare to get there may not be, but to spend $550 for a 7 day cruise is incredibly cheap on some really nice ships.

I found 7-day Alaskan cruises for as low as $549 (that would be for the inside cabin and it's per person). If that link doesn't work go to vacationstogo dot com and search for Alaska May 2008 plus 1 month...... looks like some great deals! site is one of my favs.

The hotel is called Avalon Reef Club, has mixed reviews but the photos look amazing. We are actually now going non-inclusive and 5 nights and it is $630 per person. I think the low prices start in April (low season)

We always use Kayak.com to find the cheapest airfare. One thing though, if you can fly direct to Paris, you will find really cheap (example $135 RT from Paris to Madrid) to go on to your next destination. We usually get cheap to Paris - spend the day & a night & then go on to our chosen destination the next day - if time allows.

Does anyone have any suggestions for the best RT airfare to India (Delhi)? I've actually checked out kayak, sidestep, orbitz, etc ... I am interested in the non-stop continental flight. The best I've seen is $1047 inclusive of taxes for the end of April ... Any help is appreciated.

I would like to remind people who buy flights on regular airlines to "tag" their flights with Yapta. I bought our China tickets after waiting what seemed like forever and seeing the seats I wanted fill up one by one. Of course the following week, the price dropped. I received an email notification from Yapta - I called United immediately - the price had dropped again!!- I now have travel vouchers for the price difference. Oh- and that is another small point. We chose United rather than other non-US airlines because we will be more able to use the FF miles in another year. HTH someone.
