I know of a message board (also a V-Bulletin board) where you can have your cursor sort of just "hover" over the thread title and a box will pop up showing what the actual post says. It is nice because then you don't have to click on it if you aren't interested in the contents.

It works well for those empty/misleading thread titles.

That is an amazingly useful feature. I wish all the forums I particpated in had it, but only some do. It really does help since if the thread isn't what you expected or are looking for, you don't need to waste your time looking in the first place.

I echo the general sentiment in this thread. I participate and contribute to several other VB based forums and found the "thread preview" feature to be very useful. I also agree that it takes some getting used to, but its a great tool to avoid clicking into threads that are not necessarily related to what the thread title may suggest.

If the owners/moderators are reading, and perhaps, taking a poll whether to bring this back, please mark me down for as a yea vote in favor of thread preview.
