Naked mohawk-baby carrot jockeys
Some cakes are just intentionally weird. The plastic clone babies wearing nothing but mohawks are bad enough, but then they're also riding carrots. What do you do with that? It looks like some kind of perverted vegetable rodeo, or maybe a bizarre clone military exercise, what with their little plastic fists raised high in identical salutes.

Word-for-word
This is the problem with phone orders

Odd name
Aw, poor Adamwithblueflowers. Grade school musta been murder.

No, you can't have any
Unfortunately, no actual sprinkles were used in the decorating of this graduation cake.

Double trouble
Clearly, this is not what the customer had in mind.

Photo fail
Someone -- either the customer or the decorator -- felt that sexual harassment needed to be illustrated. The decorator can't be expected to be Picasso or anything, but check out how far the girl's feet are off the ground. Was that the spank heard 'round the world?

Straight from the notes
This customer probably asked for the actual Olympic rings on the cake. That's not exactly what they ended up getting.

Inspiration
The cake that inspired the blog, a picture of which was e-mailed to Yates from a friend in May 2008, is now the cover of the book of the same name.

[brightly] Today's word, boys and girls, is "prat." Puh-rat. Prat.

It has some really fun meanings, too, kids. Why don't you go look it up in the dictionary with your parents?

When Steve S.'s coworker received a transfer to a different branch, the store decided to get the coworker a going-away cake. The inscription was your typical "You make our store better!" kind of thing.

Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem, no matter how badly the Wreckerator mangles the inscription.

But then, normally the company in question is NOT BJ's Wholesale Club.

Which, naturally, someone chose to abbreviate.

Lunch break just got awkward.

 That is awesome. My Mom used to decorate those cookie cakes and she was the manager. She would have to check, and double check everyone's cakes to make sure they weren't a wreck like these, especially on hard to spell names or odd requests.

Wow, the decorators have to either be 1. really stupid, 2. really lazy, or 3. a combination of both.

Some funny ones here.

It's cake icin, not cement. Any cake decorator can fix any of those cakes in a few minutes. Problem solved, get over it.

Thanks TS. I thought this thread was longer for some reason. And I searched for threads with "cakes" in the title

My brother came over with some cakes yesterday which prompted the search for this thread. When confronted with a misspelling on the cake, they asked if he wanted it fixed :rofl2:
