I just reached 100 reps, and no bolding of the username. Is this something that takes a little time, or have I done something to disqualify myself from bolding?

Patience, it takes patience. I believe Mr. SD has to do some approval, then you're bold.

Too bad being bold means nothing these days... they just took away our power to give negative rep points (nerps) a few days ago. Only administrators can give nerps now, and it's only a matter of time before a bunch of former nerp abusers who kissed butt to get to 100 rep points are promoted to admins, so that they can abuse the power once again. Of course, those of us who worked so hard to rightfully get to 100 rep points by posting great deals won't be able to do anything to stop the abuse.
All the work we did was for nothing.
By the way, Congratulations to Kakomu and Retell! (and I mean that sincerely)

There are 80,000+ members and probably well over 100 bold users. There are less than 10 Mods. My thinking is that Mods are carefully screened and if one of them were to abuse their powers, they would be quickly striped of them by the Admin.
Of course, those of us who worked so hard to rightfuylly get to 100 rep points by posting great deals won't be able to do anything to stop the abuse.
My guess is that if you run into a situation where you were going to Nerp, you should use the ModAlert button

I thought all that work was to build a reputation?
Anyway, congratulations on your boldness.
