Should there be seperate sub forum for internet freebies? Like ebooks, online cookbooks, free online games and such? I find it hard to look through all these online almost fake-like freebies (esp. free online games) Not saying peoples attempts are bad.. but i think that if we had another sub-forum for those freebies that it would minimize searching through offers like that and get to legit like hard copy stuff... like CD's or memory keys or whatever..

any one else have any thoughts?

No subforums. I think that an official thread for online offers be made. Anyone can make an official thread. I'll see on how many people want this and see if I'll make one for these offers or not.

I think this is somewhat necessary. I just made a post for a freebie, but it involves a little bit of work on your end. So, you have to "do something" (besides filling in where you live and what not---and of course not pay, it's still free) to get the free stuff.

you sounded a like mod I just don't like to see subforums which for the most part are unneccessary (except for the free magazines which are needed). That's what I saw in another post by Kel_be (http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=2393674&postcount=11), and she said that anyone can create an official thread (which I didn't know about), and that it was annoying to see the forum divided up and disorganized. If there needed to be a subforum, then that's ok.

For me I would like to see the individual threads as it is now, but that's my opinion.

I just don't like having to look through a bunch of free online things that if i needed an ebook or a cookbook i would search for it.. id prefer to have two different things.. or at least an official online offers thread...

mods? any comments?

In the end, Mr. SD would be making the decision. Maybe we can get the icons like Hot Deals & Lounge, then you search via the icons.

But as r1yan pointind out, IMHO sub forums = :no1:

Alright... well maybe the icon thing would work.

for the record i don't like sub forums either. it's so much easier to scan thread titles and pass over them than to click on sub forums to find what you think you might be missing.

Icons are good. If they were to be implemented, the user must click on an icon.

Yep, just like HD & the Lounge.

Mr SD & I talked about this in December, but I think we forgot to pick up where we left off.
