I noticed that recently my signature (along with many others) now scrolls if it's too long...now I realize this can be a good thing for people with long signatures, but it doesn't give a lot of room before it inputs the scroll bar.

Now this is fairly annoying, and it makes it erratating to read signatures. Is there a way either to eliminate it all at once so that full signatures are available OR would it be possible to increase the size allowed in yoiur signature before it starts to scroll? I've never had a problem with signatures and I haven't seen any that have bothered me with their size, so why was this feature put in?

You can always disable seeing other posters signatures in your user CP, under User options -> Thread Display Options. It's about 2/3 the way down the page.

I like to see people's signatures, but having to scroll through them really sucks, I don't realize why we have a scroll bar for them now.

Like you said, if people don't want to see the signatures, disable them, but I don't think we should have this feature for the people that do want to see the signatures, and most would agree, scrolling through them is annoying.

and what's the point of having the scroll bar? Is it to help those dialup peeps?

Just noticed the scrolling sigs, I think it's quite irritating. I didn't mind them before, but now scrolling on the page with my mouse wheel sometimes catches the damn sig scroll and that's just annoying as all hell to me.

I'll disable them until it's either back to normal or the new sigs are just limited to a point a scroll bar is uneccessary.

What's the reason behind the sig scroll bar anyway? Who the hell needs a long sig anyway? How pointless are current "long" sigs now?

You guys should make your sigs shorter, smaller text helps.

I didn't notice the scroll bars getting "caught" with the scroll wheel in FF so turned it off. Some sigs get carried away so, they will be clipped instead.

Thanks :D, I think like most will agree, it's good the way they are. But I'm still curious, why was this idea used in the first place? Was it just a new idea you wanted to test, or was it something you planned to use? It just doesn't seem logical to have that, because it almost seems like it would take longer to load, and is more distracting than any signature I've seen.

It doesn't add to the load. It's just a css div tag.

There is a character limit for the sig but it doesn't stop people from using huge fonts or lots of quote tags which make sigs very long. Sigs over 180pixels long will now get clipped.

I think sigs should be limited to 4 lines maximum. Why do people feel the need to list the slick deals they've gotten in there anyway?
