View Full Version : Why do so many people repeat the first post?

A good example of what I am talking about is here: http://www.slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=207716&page=4

Here's the first page of that (oops): http://www.slickdeals.net/forums/showthread.php?t=207716

The OP posted the link to the site, then every 5 or 10 posts someone else would post exactly the same thing again. Forgive me for being a stupid noob, but what's the point of that?

The 2nd link was a repost, meaning it was the same link and was less than 6 months old. So someone modalerted it and it got merged with the original.

This is better than having many threads with the same offer/link & keeps this site more organized.

Welcome to Slick Deals, and it wasn't a stupid question.

Oh, OK. I was wondering how the merge worked anyway. Thanks r1yan!

Sometimes the threads get so long that alot of people just go to the last page. In this case it can be very helpful.
