I had the same questions when I first got here -
Rep points: click on the persons's rep score
Edit sig: got to User CP - on the menu bar top left. this will take you to the control panel so you can make all kinds of changes to your info, including signature & avatar.

I have seen alot of posts recently with people asking this question. I have PM'd them and explained it, but it should be somewhere for newer memebers so they understand.

By the way, I rep people all the time, I just do not say so in a post (unless it does not allow me to rep them).

The reason I like to say so in a post is to encourage others to do the same.
New people won't know about rep or when they should rep without the example that is set by others.

That is a good point Brisar. I actually never thought of it. I just don't want people splashing the forums with just anything to get rep points & make sure everyone else who reads their threads knows they are getting them. I think that a lot of people don't realize that a when someone with less than a certain amount of posts or REP points gives a REP - it seems to nt be anything.
In fact if someone could explain to me what the values are that would be great!
Since I only have 15 Rep points, it seems like my REP's are useless.

It has nothing to do with the fact that you have 15 reps.

It is because you have less than 50 posts.

However, as I have said before, do not let that prevent you from giving people rep. just because it doesn't "count". Everyone likes a Thank You.

Just post 10 more times and your rep WILL be "worth" something (1 point).

Then .....

when you reach your:
1 year anniversary - your reps will be worth 2 points.
2 year anniversary - worth 3

etc.....

I think that rep point amounts also factor into there somewhere but I'm not sure of it and not sure of the numbers
