Looking for a high performance/range unit to replace my Linksys WRT-300N. The current unit only plays nice with other linksys N adapters and requires forcing G speeds within DD-WRT to keep it stable. My wired Cisco phone causes the unit to freeze up...very annoying when on a call.

Some desired features for the replacement are gig wired ports, dual band MIMO, ability to stream H.D. content at decent ranges and automated packet priority QoS. Been eying the WNDR3700 but i was told to stay away....Also, are the units marketed toward video streaming really worth it? I'd imagine a solid N router would work just as well.

TIA

If you don't need Gigabit and dual-band that bad, then just pick up an Asus RT-N12 and put tomatousb (www.tomatousb.org) firmware on it.

Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833320039) has it for a little over $30 right now when you use the 10% off code BTEZZZS27

I've been happy with my WNDR3300 running DD-WRT, but if you want Gigabit Ethernet with the WNDR3300, you'd need a separate Gigabit switch.
