I really think that for every 3 reposts a user should be given a negative rep point. People have to have more motivation to do a quick search before they post, ive lost numerous rep points due to this(someone reposting a deal of mine and the thread staying alive long enough for 3-4 reps...) This should keep reposts down and even out the score...

Or, maybe better yet, if a thread is found to be a repost, when the threads are merged, any reps given to the repost thread are given to the OP of the good thread...

While merging/deleting reposts can be tedious and cumbersome, and it often annoys the hell out of me, I'd rather merge a few reposts than miss out on a deal altogether. :dontknow:
