Hi, I am new to this forum and not so clear about the rules. Let's say I have a web site that is selling something at a really good price and can be considered as hot deal, can I still post the link here or does it volatile the "self-promotion" rule?

So what is the proper way to share those good deals here?

Do you run the website and own the company? If so that would fall under self-promotion. If you don't own the company or the website and have no affiliation with them, and just stumbled upon the site and deal, then go ahead and post it.

If it's a deal that you would be making a profit from, please don't post it. It would be a self promotion, and you could be banned for posting it.

Thanks for the reply. So does it mean I can't never share the deal in my own web site when I am making profit from the deal? If so, can I send a privite message to a member here and ask them to post the deal for me (assume it is a real hot deal).

Don't share them here. Unless you send that PM to Mr.SlickDeals and he can get a percentage :)

There isn't a "proper" way. It's against the rules.
