I bought Battlefield 2: Bad Company Unlimited Edition. As part of this, it came with a code to download/unlock Battlefield 1943. I successfully downloaded/unlocked Battlefield 1943, as confirmed by the Transaction History.

However, I can't for the life of me figure out how to find Battlefield 1943 on the PS3 and actually start it! I tried to find it both with the Battlefield 2: Bad Company Unlimited Edition disk in and out of the PS3, but no luck.

How do you launch Battlefield 1943 on a PS3??

BTW, I successfully created a PSN ID and upgraded the PS3 to the latest firmware.

BF 1943 is a game that does not need a disk to play, it is a game that you can buy off PSN and download to PSN, go to your game sections and scroll down, you will see it there.

You may have to install it before you play but otherwise tennisplayer is correct

OK, I figured it out. Despite installing the unlock code that came with my BF Bad Company Ultimate Edition successfully, I had to install the demo version of 1943 first. Then, the unlock code actually worked (apparently). Not very intuitive. Thanks guys.

Well Battlefield 1943 was just a PSN/XBL game and provided the full game with 10 minutes (I think it was 10, edit: nope it was 30) of online play so downloading the demo to unlock the full game makes sense. I'm sure the instructions were somewhere in the manual :P

Bf 1943 is a great game, I hope you like it. I still play it nearly every day
