I am not sure if there is a big difference but I'd like to ask. It's a noob question.

I have both these cards. ($10 for MSI $20 for GSO)

http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0325748

I want to know which is better one and to use.

I would buy the GTX deal that is on right now but I don't want to bother waiting for rebates and I don't game or use my computer enough to want to buy it.

The 4350 scores 228 in Passmark and consumes 20W of power.

The 9600 GSO scores 636 in Passmark and consumes 105W of power.

The 9600 GSO is almost 3x faster, but consumes 5x the power.

What's the rest of the system specs, especially the power supply?

Sys Specs are

500W PSU (Antec Earthwatts)
Athlon II X4 635
GSKILL 4GB RAM

I am running them at stock speed.

I was doing that tomshardware thing as well but it seems that this GSO is underpowered compared to the one that is located in their tests.

of the cards you already have, the 9600gso is the one to use if you play games (that require a decent card) at all. your power supply is more than adequate to run it. don't bother upgrading from that one unless (and until) you need something better (which is why i stil l use a 9500gt.. i don't *need* more than that)

I see, so the stream processors wouldn't even matter then?

I'll stick with the GSO then, I was choosing to see which one would be more effective to watch through a HDMI cable on a 32 TV.

either one will put video on your tv.. the geforce is the better card if you play games (even if only occasionally) that require decent video.
