How many people really want to go to the last page? Don't most of us want to go to the next page instead? I would prefer to see "next" be the text in the navigation at the bottom of each page and just "|>>" or something similar to refer to the last page.

just a random thought.

Having a 'last page' is, in my opinion, for when you're looking at, say, one of those coupon master threads, like the Office Max one, so you can skip to the last page instead of having to read through 50 pages of expired codes, before you got to the current ones.

If we just had a 'next page' instead, then we'd have to 'next page' through all of the old pages to get to the current stuff or, given that SD usually shows up to 5 or so page numbers at a time, we'd have to click on page '5', then on '10', then on '15', etc. to get to that last 50th page of goodies.

(And the 'last page' is also great when reading through some of the sagas in the lounge. ;) )

There is a next. ">" next to the "last>>". I use it all the time.

I agree with widgit

who wants to read the whole thread when it's several pages long?

So, having the last page available to click is a good idea IMO

I like it the way it is, please leave it alone. That's my vote anyway.
